The 2021 Raytheon Technologies MATHCOUNTS National Competition was hosted online from May 8-10. Students participated in a online proctored test to determine the National Champion. Although there was no official Countdown Round in 2021, MATHCOUNTS hosted an unofficial Fun Countdown Round on May 10 for select national competitors. Participants were not selected based on Written Competition score, and the outcome didn't affect final rankings.

Luke can probably beat all of them while blindfolded, solving a Rubik's cube in under 5 seconds, eating an apple and playing chess against Magnus Carlsen.

I competed at national MATHCOUNTS in 1990. (Man, that was a long time ago!) Every now and then it’s fun to see how fast I can still solve these. I think these “fun” countdown round questions were a bit easier than the usual ones.

Wow, I was surprised at how much easier these problems were than from previous years. Two time champion Luke Robitaille would've easily one this year's competition.

Correction: "Luke Robitaille would've WON this year's competition."

I actually got the first question right. I started with the assumption that Bob worked 10 hours and then I next tried 20 and then 19, and finally 21 hours.
