Genius idea, it looks great! If someone comes to the door and your dog goes crazy, I hope your TV and the cabinet itself are secured...but I'm sure they are! 😊
I'm late to the game here, but I've been considering a project like this. I would probably make a template for the 3" top and bottom holes, maybe 5 or 6 holes in a wood slat that could keep them all lined up properly, do a few then move it to the next. That way you won't have to measure each one, just drill through the template. Rather than rebar, wooden dowels would probably be good enough for my goldendoodle.
