I literally stumbled on this same method last week! Another trick I use is to copy a drum loop and cut off the first kick so the resample starts on the first snare of the loop. This let's you bring drums in a touch early to keep things interesting.

Yeah I’ve heard of that before too. Not used it much myself but it’s nice to have the option to come in on the snare first 👍

Did this last night :D try to go cazy on the djfx looper on one of the drumloops and cut off the lows.

Thank you so much. You've taught me everything. I need help still. I use loops a lot. I have a 93bpm loop right? In MPC I just put one square in the grid and it loops. In sp404 it won't. I can't get the bpms to match for the life of me. Nothing will sync up. How can I do it without having to chop it? It works flawlessly on mpc and any daw. Thx

The SP isn't great for that yeah. I'd make sure the pad is showing the same BPM you expect on the screen and maybe use the same pad duplicated in a mute group to switch between them and get a seamless loop instead. Playing with the start and end point could help too
