Yes, thank you. One thing I noted, lamentably, is that humans worship the dove as symbol of peace but malign the pigeon as a dirty pest. To me, it just illustrates the fragmented psychic condition of humans into conscious and subconscious. .

In turkish, we call birds like in the video as "güvercin" pigeon; and little brown birds like mourning dove, laughing dove as "kumru" which refers to dove.💛💛 btw thanks for this amazing channel, im watching for my rescued pigeon that lives with me for 3 months

i have young pigeon i notice it has a few bold spots on his neck and head ,it comes and goes and it keeps on pecking anyone know why i gave it 2 baths but it keeps on itching its feathers
But they make different sounds. Even if you type in on youtube "dove sounds" and "pigeon sounds" it will give you videos with different sounds that the bird makes. Is this true?
Yes thats true! calls do differ across species, not all pigeons sound the same as other pigeons, and likewise with doves but they are all columbids, ie all from the same family of birds :-)
There are certainly wild species with the common name of pigeon or dove in english but when it comes to domestic birds (pigeon species columba livia) the words often get used interchangeably, especially in references to white birds.
