Patty, before even watching this video, I want to tell you as a 76 year old myself, you look fantastic! Don’t change a thing or rethink anything! You look fabulous! We have a lot in common. I was a flight attendant for years, am blonde now fairly gray. I like to think of it as platinum blonde! I follow your makeup tutorials and try much of the makeup you like. Don’t change a thing about you! You inspire me!

I have watched you for years. Just had to comment, at 72 I dress for comfort. If people think I am frumpy, but thats their problem. And, I am SO glad that you mentioned that some women do not have the money to throw out my clothes because someone on RU-vid says they are outdated! I stay home most of the time and I am not going to invest more money on clothes that I don't need. AMEN!

Just fascinating! One of my dearest friends and I turned 82 this year we always dressed fashionable and received compliments on a regular basis ..A few days ago we had a conversation just like the one you just had with us. We suddenly feel a sense of freedom, of not worrying much about what we can or cannot wear anymore. I notice paper skin much more so I wear long sleeves more often. But if it's too hot I will show the paper skin. I believe that being in our 80s is a tremendously freeing experience. Loved your post!

Patti, your style is ageless and beautiful. We should not judge or allow ourselves to be judged. I would add on a practical note that second hand or vintage clothes can be a great alternative to new. Love your video as always your are just the loveliest lady❤

I am a lover of fashion and I am a classic dresser and I try to stay modern. I have way too many clothes, but I just love them. My favorite videos are ones where people give you outfit ideas. That’s really the biggest thing people have trouble with is putting together clothes that they already have in different ways.😊oh I went gray and my hair is silver and I just love it,had I known it would be this beautiful color I would have stopped coloring it years ago. I colored it for 30 years 😮….

I'm 59 and I have RA. I must wear pull on and pullover or zippered clothes. I can't do buttons, snaps, zippers, ties. That includes shoes -- slip on or zip up. It's been this way since my late 30s. You can be comfortable and also be fashionable! I have always been fashionable, but I hope I look as pulled together as you, Patti. I can't put on makeup every day, but I do when I go out. You give me ways I can imagine to have a more glam life. You are an inspiration!!!

When I let my hair go gray that’s when I decided to change my look. Certain colors did not look good so I narrowed it down to a few. I still wear what I like at 70! It makes me happy to do that. Patti love your channel 👍

Make up always makes us feel better l got up during covid and would make myself play in makeup with you to have something fun to do . I love your style! You look super cool. I gasped when I saw the shirt you’re wearing in commentary. I love Emily Daniel’s tops, and actually have that top! I go shopping, and the style is cropped everything, and the skirts have slits up the front and back. I’m just not into the fad stuff. I like timeless shapes and hemlines that cover me when I bend over. Thank goodness for the internet so I can find brands that I am comfortable in. Agree with everything you talked about.

I'm 79 and love to dress up for certain things such as church, meeting my girls for lunch, and when I go to the theater. I used to hold back on dressing up, but not anymore. Life is short, and we need to enjoy whatever time we have left. I love a classic look and strive to achieve it without spending a lot of money. Just basics. Remember, less is more. ❤ I love the denim handbag, and I got the same striped shirt! Take care everyone 😊

You are beautiful ❤ I am 60 years old and just graduated Aesthetician school. I wear the same style clothes I was wearing in my 30's. I like classic style. I like a collared blouse with jeans or slacks. Cardigans and blazers. Jeans and boots and pullover tops or tshirts. I go to Goowill and thrift stores and wear Talbots, Coldwater creek, Walmart brands, Kim Gravel, Linea by Louis, Bob Mackie. I will not pay marked up prices. I shop on Poshmark and Amazon. I always have on makeup and jewelry even at home. I wear what makes me feel happy and comfortable. I don't follow trends unless it is something I would wear anyway. I just got a Barn style jacket for this winter on Amazon. I say prayers for you and your family and your community on RU-vid frequently. And I love blessing others. That brings me more joy than anything else in this world. Besides praying for salvation with someone❤ Love and hugs to you

I turned 80 in July and don’t want to dress frumpy either…I have a pooch, so I do need to wear long tops with jeans to cover, I look at all the trendy clothes, but most aren’t for me. I love what you said, be the best we can be, also, I love the Time & Tru denim leggings. I am almost 71 & I love fashion but I want to be comfortable. I am like you Patti. I spend most of my time in my home & I don't have a need for certain clothes...just want to look nice but comfortable. I do try to look current but not too young. I've found as I age it's been more of a struggle purchasing clothes and deciding is this what I want to wear. Getting older is tough ! I liked your new clothes ! Very cute ❤

If I feel comfortable and pretty when I walk out the door, it doesn't matter if my dress is last year's; it doesn't matter if I can't wear what younger women wear. If I feel nice, I will carry myself in a way that displays the beauty of who I am. And, if I say I'm old, it's not a complaint; it's a practical acknowledgement of the patina that time has placed on me....and I feel the comfort and self acceptance that time has graciously given to me. I just turned 77 this year. Thank you for your channel.

Miss Patti, I’m getting there! I’ll be 70 on Christmas Eve. And I dress the way I want to! I live in Florida, so it’s been shorts and jeans most of my 35 years here. So you go Lady! You do what makes you feel good, regardless of what others may think. I have to tell you,lately I’ve become a born again hippie 🤣. My younger sister (60) and I were in the mall with my son and family and came across a store called Earthbound Trading Company. They’re also online. I bought a pair of tie dyed bib overalls and some harem pants. I feel born again! And what surprised me about the harem pants is they are really great to wear in the Florida heat because they are light weight and so baggy that the air just flows through them and they don’t make you sweat. My granddaughter calls me her cool Grammy.🤣. So you keep doing your thing and I’ll keep doing mine. That’s what makes life interesting!

First of all, I love your clothes and you did such a good job modeling them!!!! Secondly, I totally agree with you about these people saying how to dress and not looking frumpy!!!! I can't stand these things. Let people dress the way they want and what they can afford!!! If it looks frumpy to others, WHO CARES!!!! YOU are wearing these clothes!!! If it makes you feel comfortable and happy then do it!!! I personally like looser fitting clothes, because even if it's okay in the beginning, during the day you may be wishing you got something a little bit larger!!! I personally loved all the outfits you wore with jeans, especially the red sweater with that awesome necklace and the striped button-down shirt! You look so much younger, fitter, and effortless chic in those outfits! No one will ever guess you are over 80 in those. Sometimes, clothing or certain styles can age us unnecessary! You picked great outfits that suit you and make you look younger, IMO!

I am 68 and I feel the same way you do. I want to feel comfortable and put together but not pressure on myself to dress in a way that I feel pressured. Women have shamed themselves forever. I love everything you said. Thank you.

For me it’s about my weight. Always weighed around 138. I’m 5’6” but very small boned. I have an incurable very rare autoimmune disease and the medication that slows the progression packs on the weight. I’m 166 now at 75 and it’s all in my stomach. I have closets of beautiful clothes- used to be my passion- now I rarely leave the house. I would feel comfortable in most of what you showed us but some mature content creators who I know can’t be much over 110 lbs show clothes many mature women would not look good in. You look beautiful in what you showed and it seemed to make you happy. Thank you!

I think it’s so funny that you went on your rant about women being able to wear what makes them comfortable. That is so where I am at right now. I have been purging my closet over the last week of things I just don’t want to wear anymore and I’ve ordered some new leggings on Amazon and some long tops that cover my bottom but looks stylish with an emphasis on comfort. I have also gotten rid of my heels except for one pair of boots. It’s flat shoes for me. I’ve got a left knee that I don’t want to have to wind up in surgery for so I am wearing flat shoes from here on out. I found some really cute ones on Amazon. I got a really nice pair at the thrift store the other day for three bucks that still had the tags on them. I am changing the way I dress and I feel really good about it. The Walmart leggings are a great buy. I have several and they wash well, look great, and last for years.

I am 69 and make my clothes. Never cared what people would care about what I was wearing, I wear what I like. I do not follow trends either and never did. Of course when younger I was very fit and could really wear anything, it would fit and look good. By making my clothes, they fit, and are exactly color, size and look what I like. And cost a fraction. And keep me busy so out of trouble 😂 You look terrific! Just hope I will be as energetic and good at your age. Hugs from France

Love the clothes! You gave me some good ideas. Im going through the same thing. Asking myself is this truly "me" when purchasing clothing. I also agree with the This Makes You Look Frumpy videos. I by pass them. I like me and I like me if I have a frumpy day. 😊 At 66 yo its time to like me regardless of my clothes.

I love you, and your channel. Been following you for several years. I’m amazed at how beautiful you are, and you always look lovely. I dress nice when I go out, always have. But with all these disasters, and thousands of woman, many our age, that no longer have anything. If they can get a clean tee shirt on they feel blessed. My beautiful home I worked very hard for, my husband and I built it ourselves so we never owed a dime on. I live on a farm in an extraordinarily beautiful place. Right in the line of Tennessee and North Carolina. A tornado destroyed my home in 2016. The disasters that have just taken place are just a few miles from me. We were spared this in my community. But all I’m thinking of right now is trying to send every dime I can to organizations that can help these people. I’ve been there myself. I wore clothes with holes in them for awhile, that I found up in a tree. No one loves beautiful clothes and jewelry and beautiful stuff for my home than me. And it wasn’t that long ago that’s what I thought about most of the time. But I’m beyond this now. I still dress nice in the clothes I have now. Always put makeup on to go out. But I rarely go out now. I’m very ill. Just a few years ago I never set still, always going. My house had to be perfect. I had to look as good as I possibly could. Still attempt to every once in a while. Since I’ve been in a natural disaster, I know how horrible it is to try to get anything that even resembles a normal life back together again. I never did. I was not physically able to rebuild my house and there were other circumstances. Everyone, please be happy, but please please think of those people who now have nothing. I know for a fact, Samaritans purse is there on the ground. They’re like angels that who I’m giving to because I can trust them. I will not be buying no new clothes for myself. Let’s try to have those each and every year when a natural disaster happens somewhere that don’t have any clothes now. God bless all of you. Not trying to be a downer. Do not believe any of the major news, not a bit of what they say. My Mom got up in the morning and dressed for the day. I do the same, makeup, wig (hair loss), shoes and all. I see my neighbor in a tee shirt and knee high leggings out in the yard. She changes to go out. That is fine for her. She is 82. I am fine for me at 77. I will save several things for dressing up but I consider myself decently dressed everyday. I AM comfortable every day too. I care what I look like.

I try to wear what flatters my body. I think most of my clothes are ageless. Most of my clothes are casual, but i feel good in them.

I wish there was something in our local stores other than skinny jeans. I am a plus sized person who has lost a lot of weight. With a senior citizens fixed income I will never have all that loose skin removed. As a result, for me I cannot wear skinny jeans, leggings, etc. I think they look great on others. Since many years ago in high school I took tailoring, pattern drafting, but forgot all that. So, I am now taking coursework in sizing patterns correctly. So that they fit and do not look frumpy. So hopefully on my five foot round lumpy body I can start to look neat, and enjoy my closet each day. We shall see how it all works out.

Patty, I love your fashion shows. You have wonderful taste. I have that blue and white shirt with the wonderful sleeve, too. Love that sleeve, I love the logo top over your white top. As to your rant. I, 100% agree with you. They all say the same thing. Must not wear capri pants. Well, yes I will be wearing my capri pants…and I will not be half tucking in the summer when the heat and humidity are high. So frumpy me….ha ha. I live exactly as you said. I am a senior so my life is simple. I like to look casual, but pulled together. I want to be comfortable. I want my clothes easy to care for. A cute purse, a cute pair of shoes…good to go. I love nanny and the moose. She dresses so cute. Pulls herself together in the most interesting ways with her fabulous accessories. But like you, she just happens to be beautiful and her smile is her very best accessory. She has kimonos to die for. True style. So let’s wear our leggings and tunics and capris. Let’s just be who we are.are…Grandmothers, who have our own point of view. Hugs Judy.

Same age Patti and I'm a Pat incidentally. You wear that style so well and it looks like you and just great. I would wear them all. Special tank you for those striped shirts. I wear that style open over something and cuffs drive me nuts. Now to figure out what size is right for me. Thanks again. Oh, edit, btw I have worn these styles since my 40s so no change with age for me. I have always gone for class and comfort.

Only you can be so glamorous at age 81 in a bathrobe! I’m 76 years old and do have those moments that you were talking about. Sometimes I think will this make me look like I’m trying to be a teenager? Or will this make me look like I’ve just given up? Lol but I still enjoy putting my make up on and wearing a cute outfit even to go to the grocery store. It just makes me feel better!
