Joseph's Family Dance during our wedding in Apia, Samoa 2018
Song: Vunitavloa by Georgina Ledua
Joseph's family from Tunuloa & Vaturova in Vanua Levu of Fiji, as well as close friends from Australia, New Zealand & Fiji.
During weddings, it is a Samoan tradition for families to perform a Siva Samoa with their loved one (bride or groom) as an act of love and celebration. The Samoan family asked if the Fijians would like to do something similar so they picked their favourite song & surrounded Joseph in this fun family dance.

I am Papua New Guinean living in South Africa you get homesick so you can imagine my absolute excitement when I met a Fijian lady in the local shopping centre. Well we are Island Sisters and this was a happening every Fiji Day at her home. They have immigrated to Germany I miss my Island Sister.

I am from Tonga 🇹🇴 I never forget Fiji while the first time I was there for a holiday every year since 2014 up to 2018 Fiji 🇫🇯 is the place I promised for my holidays because of their culture and very friendly. Miss all city’s of Lautoka, Singatoka, Suva, and Nadi. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

why don't we just love the music and embrace The Pacific. Each island brings something special for the rest of the world to see. some people even though it is now 2021 there are still people around the world who don't know who we are. thank god for youtube, Google, Facebook etc now other people get to see our culture's and how we do things. we might not look the same but we have other links in our bloods to other islands in the Pacific.

So much of a debate on this regionalised ethnicity. Let me elaborate on some facts that may differs on opinions. Fijians are Melanesians because of their complexity, however, their mannerisms and cultural identities inclined more towards the Polynesians. Language and meanings are similar in many ways..... whereas the wanton doesn’t exist. The Lau group’s are of Tongan descendants and they speak the language as well.
