Thanks for looking at this new upload everybody. Let's forget about all the excellent DCC goodies available today and travel back sixty odd years and explore a box of vintage model items. Firstly I'll show you what I'm up to with some Tri-ang and Hornby Industrial 0-4-0 engines (R.355 variants) then we will take a peak inside this interesting box of goodies containing items from Lesney Matchbox, Corgi Toys and Britains Farm items. Take care all of you and thanks again for watching

Such lovely items. Toys that had immense play value, promoted creativity and imagination and built to last a lifetime. It was Simply wonderful to see them and they invoked all sorts of wonderful memories of my childhood.

Nice to see both the Britains and Corgi tractors. Me and my mate used to play for hours with these in the 60s in our garden which was quite sandy soil so would actually plough the flower beds with the tractors and implements! The farm was called “Appletree Farm” for reasons that can be guessed, and the farm buildings made out of bricks and very breakable greenhouse glass but no one ever got hurt. And the sun always shone of course. I also liked the baler that Britains made because the mechanism interested and amazed me! Great to have these memories evoked by your video Mr. Snooze!

Wonderfully entertaining video, again thank you, Mr Snooze... Looking forward to the 0 4 0 double header video. The model farm equipment collection evoked many memories of days gone by.... I remember both the models and the real life tractors 🙏😊

Its good to see those Britains models until recently i had no idea they were so collectable . The clocks ticking in the background reminded me of the film "The time Machine " . ( i,m old enough to remember the original). It would be nice to go back a while to see all the vehicles and trains back in their day😊

1/2 past 3, 1/2 past 7 or 1/2 past 11 lol, I too have a marine clock, super stuff. Remember the artillery guns they produced that spring fired metal shells... great fun.

These little Nellies are so collectable, and I have acquired quite a few! Yes, the names did go with specific numbers, but sometimes Triang got it wrong, and those models are quite desirable! An interesting note, the dome moved after Triang fitted the chrome dome. Hold an early model in line with a later one, the difference becomes obvious. Looking forward to more videos on these!

That was a thrill in oh so many ways Jonathan. I remember the Britains toys having had just a couple as a child. The double headed 0-4-0's will be interesting too but today the thrill was in the box. David.

I had the blue & green ploughs, lost a spilt pin from the green plough, though not the spring! with a Ford 6000, 6600 tractor with a detachable cab. Don't think they ever came with drivers. The drawbar pins used to get lost virtually immediately! God bless Bostick glue tube "plugs", metal augers in those days😁😁😁👏👏👍👍

Great to see the Britains farm equipment I instantly had to dig mine out having seen the wheels on yours I didn’t know about that problem. My ford tractor has gone a little bit but not to bad and the others seem okay, my collection is from the 80’s so not quite as old as yours. The centre hub of the drive wheels is a plastic push fit cap and the wheels are removable. I loved these models with such a vast range of great working implements.

The double header of the 0-4-0 Industrial Tank Engines runs well and it will be interesting to see them hard wired together. That's an interesting collection of farm items you have. The last few you showed look about the right scale for the Super 4 layout too? Stay safe and happy modelling

Those 0-4-0 locos were always a migraine. In all of my millions of years I have only ever see one run properly; don't know how it handled turnouts. I have been told it helps to elongate the non-geared axle bearings downward to induce a bit of slack for track undulation. But how protect the load bearing surfaces during the milling; after-all, one needs to insert the cutter before cutting. I suppose we have to grudgingly admit DKK Stay-alive would help. What would not help is to instal a capacitor in a DC model as it would attenuate what little pulse we get afforded by full wave rectified (I'm very proud of that sentence structure and vocab; marvellous!). Marklin retained their stud contact for good reason (then they messed up their 0-4-0's with rubber tyres! Amazing) One reaches for one's Golden Retriever at times like this. The other interest areas are not afraid to have bits and pieces manufactured; be interesting if the various Tri~ang collectors clubs contracted for single start worms. A single start worm would probably benefit a loco like this. Always remember to thoroughly test and monitor, specially for heat. The Matchbox cars are interesting. All but the silliest Tri~ang trains carry the suggestion of prototype well; but for me, Matchbox smash the illusion. Don't know why? Perhaps it's just me. Stay well.
