Thank you Kevin. Now for the speedy yellow ball. I'm trying to keep the speed of the balls as low as possible but on the loops they always gain a lot of speed so i made an up reversal followed with down reversal to slow them down :)

If you have no experience with rolling ball sculptures you will need much more time because you will have to learn. It took me 6 months for this one but i have 10 years of experience. Now I can work faster and spend more time on the layout of the tracks and elements. Copper is usually soldered while stainless steel is welded. People use clear coat to preserve the copper shine but I'm not sure if the coat wears due to rolling of the balls and dusting. Oxidized copper shouldn't disturb the functioning of the system. Copper is also much softer than stainless steel but 1/4" is much thicker than 1/8" rods i used. Thank you for your compliments and have fun making your own RBS.

@@WeR1sculptures thank you for you insightful advice and shared experience! I might be able to draw-down the huge roll of 1/4” copper wire/rod to a smaller more manageable gauge, but reason I was wanting to use that specific metal is for the exact reasons as you pointed out on method of fusing segments together would be much easier: and for me personally because I do not have any welding equipment, but I would still like to get moving on my creation here soon! TIG welding is something I would like to do but just can’t afford it right now! So, I really appreciate your response and thoughts on my questions I had and the confidence to proceed with what I got to utilize. Thank you for your help and the AWESOME videos you’re doing!
