Hydroxyapatite brittles and discolours the teeth on some people, doesn't it? Why does he recommend it? I thought he would go for organic solutions like bicarbonate, salt, coconut oil etc

It seems contradictory. If acidic drinks and saltine crackers cause demineralization, attack enamel and dentine, you would want to brush your teeth to remove the acid producing bacteria. But youre saying to delay brushing.

Breast feeding, hard chewing breeds wide palates. No problems for them. One of our kids has narrow high palate, mouth breather. Other has wide palate and nose breaths no problem. Mouth tape if you can, it can improve sleep, recovery and mental clarity. Lots of things caused the variations. But it's a low carb, high nutrient diet of mom that facilated breast feeding of babies. If the mom is inflamed then the milk is inflamed and the first one didn't want it. But also nutrients and skeletal development in womb was affected. Go low carb, run with nose breathing only and your cranial facial structure will and can change. Read "breath" by james nestor. He document his change of 4mm of bone density growth in his nasal area.. @@vanamee692

So glad I found this! I was 16 when a dentist trained me to assist him in his practice and the year was 1965. He was banned from being a member of the dental society for trying to get keep floride out of the water in Greensboro, NC. He was someone who took care of his health by using food as medicine. He had no sugar at all in his diet. He raised his own beef, vegitables and fruits. He saw 32 patients per average day. He stood the entire day. He did wax ups and casting of gold for fillings and crowns. He made dentures look like the teeth you were born with. We need people like you to show that it can be done if we aspire to it.

Hope this is helpful ;) Morning Routine: - Wake Up: After removing the tape, start your day with a glass of clean water to hydrate your body. You can also add electrolytes as necessary for remineralization. - Brushing: Use a non-minty, essential oil-free toothpaste, preferably nano-hydroxyapatite-based. After brushing, spit out the toothpaste, but do not rinse your mouth. This pertains to hydroxyapatite-based toothpastes. - Oral Exercise: Engage in oral exercises to promote oral health and maintain jaw muscle strength. Lunchtime Routine: - Xylitol Gum (After Carbs): If you've consumed carbs during lunch, wait at least 30 minutes before using xylitol gum to stabilize pH. Dinner Routine: - Wait 30 Minutes: After dinner, wait at least 30 minutes if you've consumed carbs during dinner. - Chew Xylitol Gum: Following the 30-minute waiting period, chew Xylitol gum. - Flossing: After chewing gum, start your dinner routine by flossing, using a flosser (like a slate flosser) to clean between your teeth thoroughly. - Brushing: After flossing, brush your teeth using an electric toothbrush with nano-hydroxyapatite-based toothpaste. After brushing, spit out the toothpaste, but do not rinse your mouth. - Tongue Scraping: After brushing, scrape your tongue to remove any residue. Bedtime Routine: - Mouth Taping: Tape your mouth closed before sleep to maintain saliva flow and pH stability.

That seems like a hell of a lot of work...did our ancestors do that, and did they have bad teeth because they didn't?
@bre1385
@bre1385 9 месяцев назад
@@ClassicJukeboxBand Well you raise the paradoxical point to Dr. Burhenne's approach. The best part (34:15) I've seen in the video and I've not watched it all is when he discusses doing something as simple as chewing on a stick and having xylitol gum is probably within the realm of optimal provided the individual has healthy saliva. As with most of these scenarios, diet, hygiene, etc. context matters. We don't eat, live, or experience like our ancestors so why should our methods of maintenance or prevention be the same? Other thing I raise usually is our ancestors weren't necessarily living to ripe old ages to experience some these issues. Lot to unpack
@ClassicJukeboxBand

The age argument is wrong...we did not die young because of one reason...multiple reasons, including childhood mortality. Our ancestor were A LOT healthier than we are today, along with all animals in nature, and we had zero experts telling us what to eat...@@bre1385

I'm a dentist and I tape . I also do carnivore diet which due to low carb level improve oral health. I never use tooth paste . I brush and floss. I can smell my mouth is healthy - you can do that when examining small children with optimal health. A special smell that tells me the mouth is fine without even looking. Here in Scandinavia the biological dentist has been taught for decades. So I don't agree with the 8 year he mentions . However diet is not included enough - only the sugar part. It is all about the terrain theory OVER the germ theory. Long live Antoine Béchamp and Weston A Price - an amazing dentist researching diet in Africa.

@thrivewithguita9191, If you continue to educate yourself in that field and the dentists you work with are not, it's worth the attempt to educate them, as well as, your patients. If the dentist is not open to being educated on such things, and they belittle your position on them then, maybe you shouldn't work with them. Some medical professionals are egocentric, challenging your working relationship. A chiropractor I worked with as an MT some yrs. ago tried to belittle my certification as a Holistic Health Practitioner, debating the subject of 'medical licensure' vs. 'skill and knowledge'. He lost the argument when I showed him, from his own medical dictionary, that 'licensure' is just a means of allowing one to practice their profession in a particular city/county/state, and nothing to do with his validity as a 'doctor' over my validity as an alternative health provider/educator. He didn't speak to me for a couple of weeks 😱, however, after he 'got over his ego trip' he treated me with respect, as a collegue__I even worked with him for awhile after he ended up in a wheelchair from a serious motorcycle accident. 💖🙌😺

On my last dental visit, about four years ago... The dentist was SO IMPRESSED with the health of my teeth and gums, that he went and brought in several other techs in the office, just to look in my mouth. I was asked how I care for my teeth. 1. I Do NOT floss, EVER ! 2. I brush twice daily with nothing but baking soda. 3. I always brush my toung a little bit as welll. 4. I never use mouth wash. 5. I am not a mouth breather. 6. I don't drink wine or hard liquor. 7. I never smoke . FYI

So many elements of healthcare are so frustrating. One day you hear 'do this', the next day you hear to do the opposite. Then you hear eat X, the next day you hear a new study says never eat X. To me, the most frustrating type of healthcare is DENTAL CARE. And this conversation is a great example. I'll leave it at that.

Yeah some said floss your teeth and some said don't floss your teeth. Fluoride good then fluoride bad .I'm on the camp not flossing though as flossing only hurts my gum more and finding affordable hi-quality floss made without nasty chemicals is impossible in 3rd world country. The only think that's the universal truth is fixing your diet away from too much carbs and sweets. Dentists might argue about their differing systems laden with their own biases and hidden agendas, but it's a fact bacteria that rot your teeth thrive from the carbs and sugar you eat.

The nursing home The Pines in upstate New York they totally neglected my mom’s dental. My mom entered that home with All her original teeth at 89! She had perfect teeth and took care of them. She was on no prescription drugs. . Because of the neglect which we were not entirely aware of 20:15 her teeth began to deteriorate and the “dentist” they used to make the rounds rarely visited and never followed up when problems began. It was so heartbreaking! The home also served soda every meal. My mom Never touched soda but she began to sip it. I told the staff to stop serving it. They ignored this request so many times The elderly are at great risk of decline in oral health. No one talks about this! Our parents deserve better. Fight for them! Mom began to lose teeth and she was devastated. I wrote that home and the dentist a scathing letter but it was too late. Heartbreaking. I’ll never forgive them for what they did.

Nursing home staff are carers on minimal wages. There are never enough of them as the nursing home will only have the minimum amount of staff allowed, on duty, if that! If a carer calls in sick, it is often not possible to find a replacement and in any case, that unfilled replacement saves the nursing home money, doesn't it? The carers don't have time to look after your loved one's teeth properly, their job is to shower, dress, feed, toilet, change, undress and settle for bed, and yes, that includes tooth care. Most people don't properly look after their own teeth so don't expect nursing home staff to do any better when attending to tooth care of their residents.

Dental care has to be part of nursing home care what are you talking about?? And Coca Cola was on the tray every meal! I asked them to stop and they did not. They are backwoods and not caring or progressive. The bacteria becomes systemic and infections can lodge elsewhere in the body and destroy the immune system not a priority ?? No dental health or care then no health at all! The elderly don’t require that much care. They are in their rooms reading watching tv and looking forward to family visits. Puhlease it’s their job to do the basics don’t neglect the mouth health and stop serving glucerna and boost drinks full of sugar and soy and junk to fatten them up as they lose weight because they are eating cheap junk institutional food that they push around the plate and don’t eat! I can attest to the significance of a good diet. I was born with a poor set of teeth due to a birth defect, and my mother had a sweet tooth (she had dentures, so it wasn't a concern for HER teeth) and she never encouraged me to brush my teeth. Since as long as I can remember I've suffered with tooth sensitivity and tender bleeding gums and loose teeth till I began Keto for 2 autoimmune conditions. Finally, at age 64 I no longer have these problems. My hygienist remarked how clean my teeth were and how great my gums looked at my checkup a year later. It typically was a blood bath while cleaning, and I'd be exhausted from being tense while she cleaned my teeth. It's been 6 years with zero cavities or any dental concerns, and I must admit I've been less that meticulous with brushing, my teeth just feel so clean. I'll be making improvements to my dental care as a result of this video, thanks.

Oral care is a marker for overall health. If you have heart disease, diabetes and many of other metabolic diseases, you probably also have gum disease. This is why I did everything the dentists told me. I brushed, flossed, and got three cleanings and checkups per year, just like I was told. Of course, none of this worked. My gums bled, and receded like mad for over 20 years, even though I did what I was told. I was only able to cure my gum disease when I adopted a carnivore diet. My gums are perfectly healthy now. No bleeding, perfectly pink. Jordan Peterson was right. This is the problem with chasing science. If you listen to scientists, they seem to always have some complicated, expensive solution you need to fix your health. The reason you need to not listen to science chasers is because metabolic problems are not science problems. Humans were created by evolution, not science. If you follow the common sense, evolutionary ideas about health, like eating an appropriate diet, you can fix you health problems. Oral care is a health problem, pure and simple. This is why myself, Jordan Peterson, my wife and thousands of other carnivores cure our gum disease and oral health with a carnivore diet, true fact...

Mouth taping is the practice of using tape to keep the mouth closed during sleep. It is believed to have several potential benefits for oral health and overall wellness, such as improving breathing, reducing snoring, and preventing dry mouth. The idea behind mouth taping is to promote nasal breathing, which is considered to be the healthiest way to breathe. By keeping the mouth closed during sleep, mouth taping can help train the body to breathe through the nose instead of the mouth. This can lead to improved oxygenation, reduced inflammation, and better overall health. Some people also use mouth taping as a way to prevent teeth grinding or clenching during sleep.
@mmayojr

So i would be careful with mouth taping. I did it for over a year. I would wake up choking every so often from aspirating. I really dont think its for everyone, especially if you have a troublesome nasal passage. I have a right deviated septum and inflamed turbinates.

@@TinaTia-eq2kh I've used nasal strips, I've used mute nasal dilator an other instruments to help and still always have the same results. People who are mouth breathers are mouth breathers for a reason. I was prescribed the Homeblock for over a year to try help with opening my nasal passage which made things worse. These is no easy answer for these things sometimes. If taping your mouth was so effective then it would be taking the nation and world by storm. It's not, because it doesn't work for most people who are mouth breathers. Low carb and nasal breathing. My gums are growing back in places. Lower front area was a good bit sunk away over the years. Not any more. I'm 40 and oh boy. It's very noticeable. I was a life time mouth breather and high carb eater. The usual, no more seed oils ever again either. I love me some ice cream and home made desserts, but not a ton. Keep at it and ignore mainstream. Sound familiar. Many dentists said, oh these are receding and there's nothing to do about it. Except when it shows the neck more then we'll do surgery to fold them back up there. I've heard, oh you brush too hard. You don't floss enough. Maybe it can help but i don't think so. They never said low carb or nose breathing, those have clearly made a difference. Maybe its nitric oxide from nose breathing. My mouth gets more saliva when slow breathing and box breathing. Try that for sure. 4x4x4x4 to start

Why condemn ALL yogurt! Plain yogurt without added sugar is readily available. And yes, it DOES have beneficial bacteria. I KNOW this because I can successfully use it as starter culture when making my own yogurt. In fact, if you want to test the viability of those probiotics you're buying, use it to "seed" production of homemade yogurt. If your homemade yogurt does not thicken up as it should, then your probiotic was DEAD. You'll find that many probiotics you buy in the store or even via internet, are in fact dead. That's because they are shipped in unrefrigerated trucks that often reach temperatures inside above 120 F, which kills the probiotic.

I’m surprised that minerals in the diet weren’t discussed. Adding sea salt for minerals to distilled water and/or adding ionic minerals to beverages. Many people’s diets are deficient in minerals to produce healthy bones and teeth.

@@KenJackson_US Yes, but we all need an array of assimilated minerals internally too, in order to build healthy teeth, bones and cells. And many people are drinking sugary drinks and colas, and smoking etc; these are substances that are depleting and leeching out vitamins and minerals, without consuming enough of the right vitamin and mineral rich foods/beverages and/or supplements. This is why crack heads’ teeth decay so quickly plus nerve damage etc. Watch Dr. Jerry Tennant’s videos on his ‘Healing Is Voltage’ book and work. He also developed, designed and sells his biomodulators and superior nutrients and has chapters and videos that specifically relate to dental health and how the meridians of each tooth are electrically connected to meridians and organs etc..

I wish I could ask him his thoughts on Invisalign and retainers. I had overcrowding and a bad bite that caused me a lot of issues including chips in my teeth. I also grind my teeth now and then at night. (I do tape at night.) I am glad I am changing my bite and straightening them so I can save them from more damage but I often think about the fact they are made from plastic and I am possibly ingesting microplastics. You never wear them while eating or drinking anything hot but the mouth is 98F, so it is possible some level of plastic is being broken down in the saliva. 😣 But I want to avoid losing my teeth, which is where I was headed as I continued to damage them.

What we need is a way to regulate what dentists can charge and what is expected of them in continuing education and some way to eliminate the compartmentalism of the health professions and a way to get them all to work together etc….my dentist has no idea what I’m talking about when I mentioned the microbiome and told me there’s absolutely nothing that can make the teeth weak and crumble or decay etc except not brushing flossing and use mouthwash enough….there’s so much that doesn’t make sense when it comes to tooth health…if that’s the truth….malnutrition doesn’t contribute to it ….malabsorption caused by autoimmune disorders doesn’t and so on…very frustrating when all the professionals who are supposed to have answers or at least the knowledge in which way to approach figuring out what is going on with a patients health…to try solving the problem…not just practice reactionary medicine with pills and barbaric treatments….I know the body is able to repair and regenerate if we weren’t so full of toxins and poison from their shots….infant shots are the cause of most diseases known as autoimmune and im pretty suspicious that chronic fungal or yeast infections within the body isn’t the root cause of periodontal disease…it’s just coincidence that patients suffering with chronic thrush suffer with the same symptoms as people with periodontal disease

I also cleaned out my mouthwash (found 4 opened bottles) after listening to this. I'm keeping one small bottle in the rare case I get a sore throat that doesn't go away with my usual remedy then I may want to resort to a gargle /w mouthwash. The other 3 bottles I'm testing in the drain that I recently noticed smells a little funky but is not running slow. I put a half a cup in overnight and smells great the next morning. I hate throwing things out so also thinking I could put it in a spray bottle and should make a great sanitizer for hard surfaces.
