Functional Planner Setup In Pocket and A4 Filofax

This planner setup uses different planning and organizing systems to handle my work and private life. My set up is:
*Pocket size Filofax Osterley in grey
*A4 Filofax Finsbury binder in black which stays at work, at my desk and in meetings.

I really enjoyed this video. I'm not in a career at the moment (retired early to caregive ill hubby who has since passed over) and am at loose ends trying to decide what comes next. Love watching functional planning videos like this as I am essentially "relaunching my brand" into the world and need to become more intentional about it!

Thank you very much for this video! I am a creative individual and I tried having everything in one planner which became cumbersome, confusing and ultimately I dropped a few projects ironically due to poor planning. Now I keep all the pretty (& lots of messy) in lightweight portable dot grid sketchbooks to brain dump, journal, write, and draw. I like having a straightforward simple organizer to keep track of my meetings & appointments. Great demo.

Thank you for posting a professional perspective to planning. I'm an event planner as well and need a better way to maintain my creative aspects, or "pretty planning" as we call it, in alignment with the corporate environment.

I think paper planners are the bees knees for us event planners. I don't carry them around on site, but I spend most of my working day in an office and not out in the field. Would love to know how you organize yourself to stay on top of all your projects!

I use multiple project planner system but my favorite thus far is DIY Fish Inserts.

Thanks so much for this. I just got a pocket and was looking for functional ways of using it. Definitely not into decorating. I was envisioning a system pretty much like yours!

Love the miracle morning, isn't it life changing? The paperclips were bought in December 2015 at KaDeWe in Berlin, the company is called Paper & Poetry. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them anywhere online - maybe you'll have better luck.

Still love that Calipso binder, which was my first "real" Filofax. I use it as my journal now and love to fondle it hehe :D

I bought them about 18 months ago from KaDeWe in Berlin, the company that makes them is called Paper & Poetry. I unfortunately couldn't find the paperclips online at all..

Excellent video. Thank you. Dumb question - I'm new to the A4 size. Do you use regular American 8.5"x11" paper for your A4?

Rick Arthur no, A4 is a DIN standardized size. I'm sure American companies (maybe Franklin Covey?) make a standard letter-sized binder, but you can also buy A4 paper in the US off Amazon. Your printer should be able to work with that size.

Your handwriting is so beautiful, has it always been that pretty or did you learn calligraphy?

Thanks! That's just my natural handwriting (except on the motivational notes page, there I just double stroked the downward strokes on the titles). On the pages where it looks really uniform, like the goal planning section, I had written everything down on a rough draft and carried it over in one session, taking my time to write. I find my handwriting looks extremely different on different days, even going from one hour to the next, so if I know that will bother me and I will be seeing a certain page for a long time, I will take the time to "rough draft" first. On the to-do lists, you can see that my "real life" writing is not that even. I have even gotten "carded" on my credit card because depending how rushed I feel, my signature changes massively as well! :)
