Professor D, I am in my first semester of nursing school, and you have no idea how refreshing it is to listen to someone who actually knows how to teach! I have learned more from your videos than I have in my classes. Thank you so much!!!!!! God bless
Semester 1 of nursing school is done!!! Fundamentals - done: Mental Health - done: Pharmacology 1 - done. I don't know how I would have done it without Professor D. I thank God every day that I found this channel early in my program. Walking into med surg and peds with so much confidence.
You are an absolute Godsend to nursing students. I attend nursing school full time, work full time, I'm a mother and I'm planning my own wedding - obviously I'm crazy busy but you make studying much easier for me! I listen to your videos on my long commuted and you have literally been my saving grace for several exams. THANK YOU! ♥️
Hello Mrs. D. You were my pharmacology professor @ my campus & i love & miss your ways of teaching, so passionate, which in turn kept me & fellow students attentive & focused. So excited to have found your channel. Blessings :)
I just discovered your channel today and you are amazing! Thank you so much for always breaking down the rationale for why certain answers or correct or incorrect. It helps SO much!
I can't have enough of the knowledge you dissipate here, keep craving for more as they are so helpful and your style makes them almost unforgettable. God bless you.
I have an exam tonight and I really feel ready after listening to your videos. Please continue what you are doing. It is VERY effective. I will be sharing you with my classmates.

Thank you so much Professor D, I learned so much from you.More powers to you and please continue your teaching and helping us to learning more.God bless
Thank you so much, this is such a blessing to me I just graduated this June with my LPN, and your review videos are such a great help….. and I love how you take the time to make sure we understand the material.
Professor D, when I graduated from Nursing School abroad I decided I’m never gonna work as a nurse, the college experience was just absolutely horrible and out of all the teachers maybe 3 were kind people. We were literally bullied (especially me since I was a boy in nursing school) and the instructors were really mean to patients. I didn’t want to be like that. I’ve tried other work, simple work despite having a couple degrees and than I’ve come across your videos years after graduation and I’m preparing to take the NCLEX now. If there are professors like you than I want to be a nurse. Honestly? You changed my life!
Good time everyone. Thank you for making this content videos for us. They help a lot. I was wandering if its possible to make one for burns. Again no word I can use to show how grateful I am for watching your videos.
Thanks Professor D for these videos. I love your teaching style. I passed fundamentals !!! Keep them coming please. Can you post more Maternity and Psych materials pleaseeee
I am know begining to understand metabolic acidosis and respiratory alkalosis much better, thanks a million professor D, you are making me become a confident nursing student, thanks a million. Much love
Wow awesome I very much like your enthusiasm of explanation please keep it up don't change the style it registered very well with people like us. Am addicted to your channel prof.
You are an Amazing Teacher, Prof. D. Sometimes even in my native language i hardly understand the things but your explanation make me understand easilyyyyy. Thanks a million for youuuuuu
I love these videos! I am going to be sharing this with my classmates. Can you do a lecture video on all of the hypo/hyper signs and symptoms for electrolytes?? That literaally would be AMAZING!! You are so passionate about what you do and I am so happy I found you!
I am working on lectures, they will be posted on my website (I will make an announcement when posted) and practice questions will be found on my RU-vid channel.
Professor D, your material is so valuable that I love it. I wish that you can provide a PDF of your questions and their rationale because your rating would hit the sky and bounce back. Its content is catchy and interesting. Thank you very much. Any suggestion where I can get the question and rational?
Thank you so much for theses videos!!! They are amazing and help me so much with my nursing school test!!...I can pull your information when I am sitting there and it might me just the way you explain it differently.. Tank you again Prof. D. :) Laura-
Hi dear, i just got your videos yesterday while looking for nclex help. Really helpful. Not able to pay for expensive study plans, i hope can collect info from you as much as i can. Thanks
Can i just say that YOU helped me so much!! I passed my 1st fundamentals exam with an 80% and its the keywords you always tell us in your videos!! I watched your critical thinking, communication videos and it helped me so much. Now i'm watching the fluid & electrolyte videos to help me pass my future exam! TY!
I like ur videos. It's helping me prepare for my NCLEX. CO2 less than 35 is alkalosis and more than 45 is acidosis. I know is a mistake. Thanks for ur videos.
Professor D, Are you saying "hypo" causes the nerves and muscles to relax and "hyper" causes the muscles to stimulate? I'm preparing for my exit and fundamentals I scored the lowest on, I'm scheduled to retake the end of July. The videos are a great help to me, I don't seem to catch everything.
Ok I love these videos I I usally dont comment but this just bothered me PH below 7.35 acidic yes above 7.45 alkalosis yes pco2 below 35 is basic not acid above 45 is acidic its opposite and that's how I remember. PH (A) 7.35 - 7.45 (B) PCO2 (B) 35 - 45 (A) HCO3 (A) 22- 26 (B)
Hello regarding the question of the abg reading. I was taught that if PH and bicarbonate go in the same direction is metabolic otherwise is respiratory. I am confused why your answer is metabolic...
@@valecleme9547 if you choose to use the ROME method, the pH is still your key. You have have to look at the pH first to figure out if you are basic or acidic. After you figure that out (pH up or down), you must then look to see which (CO2 or HCO3) has an abnormal value. In this case, HCO3 which is bicarb is abnormal. Now you look to see if your abnormal HCO3 is up or down. In this case, the bicarb is down and so is the pH---> R= Respiratory (CO2) if abnormal value is O= Opposite from pH M=Metabolic (HCO3) if abnormal value is E=Equal to pH Here is another way to think about if that method confuses you, how can it possibly be respiratory when respiratory is within normal limits? In the question, CO2 was 37 and the normal range is 35-45. Respiratory can’t possibly be the problem. Now look at how low the metabolic is. That is your problem venice it’s out of range of 22-26. Does that make sense?
See when you're holding a med for low pressure 60 or below right- I wouldn't feel comfy giving my patient any med if they're close to the 60 # i.e. 62 or lower. When u give a med it'll drop down to late 50s. I mean STILL give? I'd be watching them like a hawk
