The Trilogy, from my own interpretation: 1. Bullet Theory; in our early 20s, we still fight with others for fame, wealth, and power, that is represented with MASK. People willing to kill and stab others to gain it. 2. You Want Romance; when we meet someone we love, and can be who we really are. We won't care for the MASK anymore, and yet willing to burn it. But, also learn things higher than fame, wealth, and power, that is responsibility, represented by the BABY. 3. Juneau (acoustic); Tested by the ones we love, are we willing to fight for them? Carrying responsibility, represented by the BABY, we endure the journey in life through hardship and struggle. To finally, meet the loved ones. With more maturity of course :) PS: Again, just my own interpretation. And sorry for my bad English...
"You Want Romance?" The water's colder at the edge And they dived for hours Past sundown Until the body was wasted Did they conspire to this? Did you conspire to this? Thirty three and a half Until the end As we sway from ear to ear And your heels look so beautiful Against the carpet, against the carpet So graceful, yet so insecure This ghost will haunt you And I will judge you fair
2020 is coming to an end, but this song is still playing around today. I heard this song for the first time when I was in junior high school, and since then I've started to love Funeral for a Friend music. Time flies so fast, may 2021 be the best year for all of us.
One of my all time favourite songs. Saw them 20+ times since 2003 and the first time I ever got to see this live was at the last chance to dance show in manchester. It was beyond emotional to say the least
Such an incredible band man damn i miss bieng back in like 2005.. i remember my brother brought home there first album and stealing that shit the first chance i got 😅
This is just superb, been searching for "how to really turn your wife on" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Teyackenzie Cenarper Release - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my m8 got cool success with it.
This is one of my favourite FFaF songs. I love how its punchy and up beat but not pop rock in any way at all. I love the way the drums and guitar interact, especially in the chorus. Its a great song.
@miszczmateusz I know lol, I come from Wales myself and been a fan of the band since Between Order And Model....Most of the bands' videos are in Wales, they're pretty proud of being from Wales
I missed this tour? Damn. At least I got to see Say Anythings ...iarb & Hawthorne heights silence in black and white this year. Armor for sleeps dream to make believe last year... I'm bummed I missed this ones 20yr, though. It's hard to keep up.
I had no idea this was an older song of theirs. I remember getting this as a Best Buy bonus track when Hours came out. Either way, this is probably and will always be my favorite song of theirs.
@JCarlosFFAF Wow!!! I stand well and truely corrected. I gave up with them after Hours and the one after that. They were a pile of guff. I loved your seggested ones! Thanks for revicing my faith.
I love this band, that's true that probably Casually Dressed and Hours are their best albums, but overall they are drawing an amazing and solid career. It's hard to get some of their albums in Spain, I hope I can be succesful next April when visiting London.
cheers, when i first watched this one i didn't have a clue what it was about, but watching them both back to back it kinda makes more sense. i love the whole concept of the covered up faces though, it's really chilling
I go for lyrics. If the guitar syncs up and if the voice is harmonious then all is well. I don't care what kind of music it is, Music is the stuff of the soul. And my soul hungered.
Although I like to listen to them occasionally at home and was looking for some good tracks you're never gonna appreciate how good they are till you're wasted in a pit at a festival having the absolute time of your life. If you get the chance see them live.
basically in the first video (bullet theory) they are fighting for a face. this symbolises the fight 2 have an identity (the faceless man represents someone who is incomplete) nd in this video when he meets the girl he burns his face meaning that he has compromised himself for her, but when he sees the baby with no face he is shocked to see the consequences of what he's done. The underlying message of this video being to be yourself, and to have your own identity. at least i think, i may b wrong
i donno whats the idea about the boy and girl cover of cassualy dressed conversation dressed ep. but i think it has a deep meaning .. the bullet theory video shows the same characters. all i can say is funeral for a friend is freaking amazing!
my fave FFAF and even fave rock/metal track ever ! loved FFAF from this time. liked the last album but i dont really get the new one =/ he actually sings like he means every word on the song while their latest stuff doesnt mean much at all....
well my personal preference would be Casually Dressed, Hours, and Seven ways to scream your name. i love their early stuff. feel free to listen to everything else but these are just my favorite by them. there are some rare tracks on the escape artists single also. definately give them a listen
Yeah, it's something like that. The Bullet Theory vid shows faceless people fighting for the face, to become unique. This guy gets it, runs off, and you get the start of this vid. Guy finds girl. They accept each other as they are so don't need the face. Girl runs off, leaving the guy upset and with a faceless kid, and hence Juneau acoustic vid. If I remember correctly it's all about being unique and accepting yourself and shizz.
im now 23 saw these guys wayyyyyyyy back and this is still my fav song. kinda outgrown the music style but still when im drunk this song fucking rocks, their best song by far
None that I'm aware of however I dont know how they can narrow all their songs into a greatest hits? they're all amazing songs plus i believe some of their best is yet to come
@Intz51 i love this song when i was 15 and im now 23, and my music taste has changed... i like completely different music.... but theres still a special place for funeral for a friend. dont worry! youll love em at 60 im sure!
@AttentionAttention88 - Annoyingly non! Its my favourite song as well, its a B side track for Escape Artists never die. Dont think it ever got released by itself - it should have been on Casually dressed album - the only way it could have been any better.
+Rory Cocker Donny is definitely one of the best songs they've ever written. Their new album is up their with Casually Dressed, Hours, and Welcome Home Armageddon
@Tenac91 There is a connection, it's part of a trilogy containing you want romance, bullet theory and juneau (acoustic) - buy spilling blood in 8mm dvd you'll get all 3 vids on there.
This whole video is awesome its like the whole stockholm syndrome complex thing. And the song is awesome... You know people you dont have to listen to the songs on here if you don't like them...
i have seen ffaf live 5 times, and never have they played this, everytime i see them, i shout out for them to play it but they never do, i dont know why, because in my opinion its one of their best
