The hadith: Narrated Ibn `Umar: When `Abdullah bin Ubai (the chief of hypocrites) died, his son came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Please give me your shirt to shroud him in it, offer his funeral prayer and ask for Allah's forgiveness for him." So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) gave his shirt to him and said, "Inform me (When the funeral is ready) so that I may offer the funeral prayer." So, he informed him and when the Prophet intended to offer the funeral prayer, `Umar took hold of his hand and said, "Has Allah not forbidden you to offer the funeral prayer for the hypocrites? The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I have been given the choice for Allah says: '(It does not avail) Whether you (O Muhammad) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites), or do not ask for forgiveness for them. Even though you ask for their forgiveness seventy times, Allah will not forgive them. (9.80)" So the Prophet (ﷺ) offered the funeral prayer and on that the revelation came: "And never (O Muhammad) pray (funeral prayer) for any of them (i.e. hypocrites) that dies." (9. 84) From Sahih al-Bukhari 1269 The verse mentioned at 5:45 of this video: Ask forgiveness for them, [O Muḥammad], or do not ask forgiveness for them. If you should ask forgiveness for them seventy times - never will Allāh forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in Allāh and His Messenger, and Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. (Quran 9:80) [Saheeh International] The verse at 6:25 of this video And do not pray [the funeral prayer, O Muḥammad], over any of them who has died - ever - or stand at his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allāh and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient. (Quran 9:84) [Saheeh International]

(Al-Baqara) 2 : 10 *Their hearts contain a disease, so Lord Allah increases their disease, they will have painful punishment because they have been lying.* It is told in verse 63: 1: “Whenever the hypocrites came to Messenger, they said: ‘We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of the Lord’; yes, Lord Allah knows that you are indeed the Messenger, and He bears witness that the hypocrites are indeed the liars”. Verse 9: 107 ends as: “And the Lord witnesses that indeed hypocrites are the liars”. In every period, the hypocrites had rejected Adhikr and had ridiculed the Prophets and the believers as: “Indeed, you are an odd liar” as told in verses 38: 8; 54: 25, and 83: 29. The hypocrites are telling their followers to follow their path so that they will bear the burdens of the followers’ sins as told in verses 16: 24 and 29: 12-13. But by doing so, they are deceiving them. As told in verse 4: 145, the hypocrites among Fujjar will enter Hell even without the Trial whereas the followers will enter Hell after the Trial as told in verse 39: 71. Both of these people will witness against their soul that indeed they were disbelievers at the time of death vide verse 7: 37, and on the Day of Judgment vide verse 6: 130. Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters... I have a doubt. Can a muslim offer the funeral rites of their parents if they are non muslims? Can we do the funeral rituals of other relegions if the dead is our near one like parent and according to that relegion we are the one to do the funeral rites?
