I'm 65 and caucasian and I'll tell you nothing makes working on a server on a rainy Sunday afternoon in mid February better, than some cool soul and funky jazz with a sax and some horns and organs all shuckin and jiving. Just gotta love comin to visit the Dr's channel!!!
Hey, Randy ... always nice to hear from a fellow saxophoníste, especially one from Hawaii. I appreciate your kind words, sax brother, and thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to me. Greetings, gratitude, and much love to you from Ann Arbor! ❤️~Dr. SaxLove 🙏
From this side of the planet earth.....good morning and time to go and fetch the easter eggs in the garden. Bless you all, artists, and readers across. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU BRING ONTO US. Sincerely.
Finally found the perfect jazz music for me to listen to while studying! 😭 i always see the ones that makes me sleepy. Can't really seem to find an upbeat jazz like this. Well at last! Gonna put this one on replay 🥰
I'm a student of the electrical field of study. This playlist is one of my faves here, because this funk jazz is one of my favourite genres and one of the most "neutral ones". It helps me to concentrate and at the same time stay funky while doing my theoretical lab works ✍🏼🧲⚡ Thanks
I disagree completely. I am trying to write my dissertation and I cant because I am up here jamming with my three year old dancing all over the house. 👊🏾
Hello, Dr. Sax Love, I have been enjoying the sound of your Saxophone, I grew up listening to this type of music thanks to my older brother who now lives elsewhere. thank you! thank you! this is truly awesome. I'm in my 60,s and so many young people just don't realize beautiful sounds like this. may God continue to bless you .
In the middle of the countryside in Russia , wood burning ready for a BBQ , sitting on my terrace drinking a pint with my Labrador at my feet and listening to these tunes.......just heaven, thanks!!!!
@@DrSaxLove btw what i mean by that is this particular playlist has upbeat and more active vibes and is not so lofi like most music. It's more like jumpning out of the shower in the morning, ready to explore the new city rather than lounging around at the beach during sunset (which is what everyone does already)....
Thanks for helping 'bring back the sax', especially to those outside of the saxophone playing community. I'm blessed with a decent day job, but when I do venture out I see that people are craving for 'live and real' musicians. As you know - a decent Sax Player is not so easy to come by these days !! - so hey Dr. SL - partly due to your inspiration I actually got paid to jam at a Birthday Party last year - No shit man ! Your Saxophone Love Prescriptions have helped heal many a Soul. :)
Honestly can I just thank you for making my school life so much better. I couldn't pay attention, stay focused, or do any type of homework before, but now I just bop through the day with my headphones in and my grades are thanking me for it. your music helps me so much more than you know. keep up the great jams
You knocked it out of the park with this one, Dr. Sax Love. What a nice quality recording. The bass player for this session was just great, tasteful fills and accents - just wonderful. The horn section added weight and fattened up the tracks. And the lead Sax, what can I say other than thank you !!
I love those funk jazz it is joy music and it give you a mind to be thinking a very good thing to do in your life at this moment and God bless those who is listen this music ok
‘Funkingruvin’ is now #1 - 'Song for Kirk Whalum', and the remainder of this volume, is #1.5 - The more I listen to you, the more I listen to you . . . Circular Reasoning? Or an acquired taste, as was ‘Acapulco Gold’ - Back in the day (60’s). 😘
I was born in the 80s, and grew up in the 90s and i love this. Jazz music and funk...perfect harmony. Prefer jazz/funk mix over today's rap music any day
Rap isn't anything similar to this and perhaps a comparison isn't really needed. Funk has its own beauty and provides excellent vibes for specific moods, however I think the same for hip hop. They're two very different genres with very distinct flavors! **
I couldn't agree more. This hits a place down deep in the soul that is very nice. I'm taking your groove with me from now on 😎 Thanks for sharing your gift with the world!
Back again after almost a year. Deliberate absence to Forget for the Joy of coming back. Finally turned my clean crisp old friend back on again this morning. Fantastic accompaniment for an Australian cross country drive. To me, the genius of this project is the sheer diversity like an adventure book or a novel. Storytelling in jazzair bluezair funkair. I'm 56 years old and play this in my car with the windows down like a recalcitrant teenager. Thoroughly recommended.
Welcome back, @pieinher67 ... I love that you remembered me and still love the music! Greetings and love to you all the way from the American midwest! ❤️ 🙏
I never knew I liked funk jazz. Once I got into only 2 minutes of the video, I fell in love. Now funk jazz is my favorite kind of jazz. Thank you Dr.Saxlove, I can't thank you enough😁
Always my great pleasure, brother Eric. I'm here to be of service. 🙏I'm thrilled your enjoying this Fund Jazz stuff ... great musicians on these recordings! 😊
@@DrSaxLove A good day to you Sir. I love a lot of different genres of music. I especially love Funk, and just have to say- "this compilation of yours is an absolute work of art!" I couldn't help but boogy down to it as I did in the 70's as a teen. Great job! Thank you and please keep up the good work. Shane- (N.Z.)
I appreciate your kind words, Caden, especially your compliment about the light drum loops. 😊 I work hard on those. 🙏 Much love to you, friend, and may your day be filled with light and love! ❤️~Dr. SaxLove 🙏
This is the only channel I've ever heard that has instrumental sax to a funky background. Most instrumental sax music is so (Yawn) mellow that it puts me to sleep. Dude you've really got something special here.
Great music I am a sax man I just love this jazz funk. A great selation. It dont get any better than this. Funk Jazz is the best. No boring stuff. I love the beat. Great musicians. Keep up the good work and I will be listening to you every night.
studying has never been so funky! no but for real, this helps me with concentration a lot, best part is that I can watch lesson recordings and the music fits right in as background!
@@DrSaxLove Hello! I too love your music, and I am wondering what the particulars are to use some of these pieces of music for my RU-vid channel's Intro/Exit sounds? I have my notifications on so I will be made aware whenever you respond. Thank you. 👍🏽
Put int on a good home theater setting, with a punchy subwoofer, and let your soul get off your body! Thanks for this awesome playlist! Greetings from Brazil!!
You totally got me! This kind of music is EXACTLY the mood I was looking for and one of my favorites styles for improvisation! I always search for this but not fits so well. I'm very glad to know you my friend SaxLove haha very nice story by the way x) Best regards from Brazil with a lot of grooving and swinging 🕺🏾🇧🇷🕺🏾
I'm thrilled you're feeling it, Yuri, and I'm thrilled you're enjoying this music so much! Greetings, gratitude, and much love to you from Ann Arbor! ❤️~Dr. SaxLove 🙏
One of the best times spent is coming across this. Thank you for this intro into funk & jazz. I'm more from the reggae, rock to classical style of music .Thank you.
my Zoom instructor had this playing in the meetings' waiting room, and I was doing the funky chicken / pop and lock / cabbage patch in my kitchen while playing my air sax. It was a sight that I'm glad no one saw, but I was gettin' it!
I've been first attracted by your "noir-themed" youtube posts, but your musicality resonates so much with mine that since then I've been attracted by many of your posts. Nothing here sounds "artificial", and your mood-themed music videos are full of soul. Thanks for seeding life through music!
I drive a great deal in my job and I've been listening to this mix almost exclusively over anything else. More I listen the more gems I find. This really is quite a dazzling piece of work. Ravi from London in Australia
7:38 gostei dessa daqui! A flutuação e a dinâmica da música me chamaram atenção em meio à escrita de um relatório para a faculdade. From Brazil, Matheus.
Really awesome tunes here. The first tune kinda reminded me of the Hey Arnold cartoon from back in the day. That cartoon legit introduced me to Jazz music as a kid. I didn't know it was Jazz at the time. But I loved it and still do! 😁👍🏾
i thought this was just one song, so im sat here moving my head and my body like theres no tomorrow! and then i see this is 3 hours long.......... WOW!!!!!!! THAT SAX THOUGH. omg im in love. this is insane talent :D
Came accross this today when at work was browsing for something good to listen to ... not always easy to find the right music for a particular moment, I love many genres so lots of times it just depends on the mood to decide which is this right music ... this music feels right for many type of moods Also, first time listening to Dr.SaxLove's music ... another expamle of how much we still don't know Thank you Dr.SaxLove will be on the search from you for more
Música Casi Celestial, yo estuve en los angeles California y escuchaba una estación de radio, creo que era 91.7 FM era smoot jazz, me regresé a mi país México, no sé me olvida,,, naaaa...i was ther in 1980 to 2009. Was amaizing
Been using this playlist as background music at the events i do... always have the clients jamming and asking to turn it up. Sorry MR Dj but the smooth Jazz hits have the people jumping haha
OH SNAPPERZ. I JAMMED TO THIS 3 HOURS STRAIGHT WITHOUT REALIZING. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL WHO ENJOY THESE BEAUTIFUL MELODIES 👌🤟🤙♥️👑🙏LISTENING FROM PUERTO RICO 😎
This mix isn't really available to purchase as is. But you can buy individual tracks on my website ( www.markmaxwellmusic.com ). you can also listen on Spotify by searching Mark Maxwell and recreate the playlist. The tracks are listed out in the description for you to know which ones you need.
I’ve been listening to this channel and this is the best saxophonist I’ve ever heard. When I first listened to your music it inspired me to become an 9 year old saxophonist and I am from Mississippi. You are a very good player and right now I got this playing on the tv with full audio and jamming with my family💃🕺
Wow, thank you so much for sharing that with me. I truly appreciate you letting me inspire you while enjoying my music to jam to with your family 🎶🎷🕺💃🥰🙏 I hope you enjoy your musical journey playing the Saxophone, it takes time and dedication. Sooner or later you will feel your soul speaking through it. Congratulation on beginning something new and challenging.

Hey, Sax Man I do declare My true gratitude For the kind thoughts you share. People do say Many kind things But coming from you The compliment rings. Mrs. SaxLove and I Send love and good cheer. We hope you know you're Always welcome here. 🙏 I appreciate you, brother! 😊
I found this stream in search of instrumental background music to work with. I am a construction estimator working from home and am easily distracted by family, dogs, sheep, chickens and the seemingly endless Amazon deliveries that launch all the animals into a barking / clucking / braying frenzy. I was listening to a different instrumental stream before, but it was a little too relaxing and I found myself dozing off from time to time. No problem with that here! My ONLY issue is that these grooves are infectious and I find myself bobbing my head like one of the chickens and punching the calculator in time with the bass line. A little problematic, but worth it. Thank you!
