It's not Senpai that's coming back. It's going back to Pixel Day 4.. TIMELINE-WISE. Meaning that it's going to be a different timeline-- BF wouldn't have even encountered Dad yet.

I noticed that Girlfriend gives up and refuses to push the bar back. It's as if she doesn't want to hurt her mom, however Dad refuses to back down. He's destined to save the love of his life, but once again he isn't one that calls the shots. It's the little imp.
@@savknightz1173 In some cases not really although it really hurts if your loved one died but imagine if your mom died at a young age or even at a old age also I mean like boyfriend/girlfriend loved ones not husband/wife you know what I mean
While we don't see how DD looked when fully corrupted in the original, you actually got us seeing how he looks in this one, and right when they have both fallen to it, despite their valiant effort to put a stop to it. Not only will I pay my respect to DD and GF giving it their all, but also the hard work you did to make it this good. Even the music ImThatBlueWolf made was really good!
Best thing is that I custom made myself ( a.k.a Vex ) to completely ignore the corruption and instead destroys it but to make it fair he cant destroy the source of the corruption yet
Really like how the health bar works in this, when a character is low they tag out and switch, (exception being you know who) and even when BF goes back in he's the same amount he was when he left. Minor detail but it works really well!
Besides Corrupted Skid & Pump, they only pretended to seem low on health because they wanted Mommy Mearest to have her turn. (For obvious reasons.) And we all know that when Skid & Pump are together they much more powerful then anyone.
I love how every time GF sings solo after MM’s appearance, it’s a duet with BF, almost as though she’s trying to reach out to him through the corruption.
Something I noticed here: In contrast to Deathmatch, Daddy Dearest doesn’t give in even when MM shows up, and keeps pushing the bar back much more than GF does I’m guessing it’s because unlike Phantom’s corruption universe, DD still has something to fight for here, his daughter. He stays strong for her, and even when his own wife is corrupted, keeps fighting with every last bit of strength he has to keep GF safe
You are right, it's GF that loses her composure here while DD still keeps fighting. GF, it's almost like she didn't want to fight her mom, while DD still knew he had to. GF if the one that gave up, while for DD it looks like he just ran out of energy by the end of the song
When mom appeared, GF gave up, as she didnt even push the bar anymore, while DD still fights, still protect his daughter until his last seconds. In Dyan's AU, i think the gf is kinda a lil coward. Even with Pico's effort to save all of them, she left her bf alone, with her mother, and left him die. And she let the emotions and feelings controlled her in the last fight, indirectly made her dad loses BF
@@Kocogiodayhet I think its both exhaustion and giving up, GF was the main one against the corrupted spooky kids before MM, and unlike DD, GF isnt as strong or enduring as him, yeah she could've fought a bit longer, but the sight of her Mom kind of made her just stop pushing to the end, and once MM swapped back to BF, GF just never tried to push back again, heck, GF didnt have strings on her when DD was the last one still fighting until DD couldn't go on, so she could've fought back again but didnt, hence why I thought she was exhausted.
@@SphnAY at around 2:58 you can see GF flinch, maybe she was forced out of it by MMM and can't go back? It was pretty apparent from the way they started that the power DD and GF showed was a last ditch effort
This is sick man ! DD really pulled up a fight, for his life, and his daughter's life ! He fought until the end, even against MM, while GF just refused to hurt her mom. You devs really did a great job, it was worth waiting ! Keep going, you have my support 👌👌
The mechanic can be really scary: Daddy Dearest and his daughter are going all out, and given their monstrous power when combined, the corruption can't forgive their own mistakes. Or else Daddy Dearest will make the corruption know the hard way how he met Tupac and what happened afterwards.
@@xabitron I don't think it's JUST for BF. But it's for US, the player. They know that we miss notes at some point so they added a miss notes limit so 10 misses then it's game over.
the amount of detail here is above expectation. I expected skid and pumps faces to still be in the background but they weren't! I going to enjoy the Max miss mechanic when this comes out. Great job!
A small thing I noticed and not sure if you intended it but I like how near the end when Boyfriend comes back after everyone elses turns he starts off with the same notes and overall song that DD did to him at the start. Basically using his own song against him.
I knew it, but also WOW! This song was way better than I thought it was going to be (not saying it was going to be terrible), but now I have so many questions. I love the references you made from different songs, and the mechanic of only a set amount of misses, or you fail thing. Also, thank you for finishing this song. Take my sub
it's interesting that the bar is full when dad and gf are "helpless" like the corruption has full corruption over this battle, but then when dad and gf get into their forms the bar is half, meaning dad and gf managed to get some control over the situation, which in my opinion is a very great detail! edit: I also noticed that mommy mearest takes out more bar than the other corruption characters, meaning it is doing more damage to dad and gf than skid and pump or Pico. and at 6:00 dad and gf become weaker, and they lose all control of the bar making it show that bf now has control over the situation, signifying dad and gf are now weaker. I like how every time the corrupted switch out they use a different strategy in their arrow placement to trip up DD and GF BF start: clearly caught off guard uses mainly long notes and basic patterns keeps with the rhythm Pico: uses rapid tap notes with fast speed clearly meant to get the bar back down quickly unfortunately while holding his ground well couldn't handle the 2v1 Spookies: spams staircases at high speed in long bursts meant to weaken the opponents tire them out the best they can for next in line MM: mainly long notes with the rythm but fast quick bursts of complex patterns is meant to get the bar down fast with the opponents only responding with long notes BF finale: a little bit of everything he's back to finish the job and succeeded knowing his opponents have no strength left he pulls out all the stops knowing without any strength left they cant push the bar back Really nice attention to detail i must say definitely high quality work and can't wait for the next part of the story everything about this to the charting to the characters reactions and changes it all fits so well 10/10 great work

@@snipers_gaming_ yeah basically and it's also a fair fight because it's a 2v2 if you count them as 2 people which really shows how while it was a fair even fight DD and GF can only handle one at a time not two which in this situation ended up being their downfall
Can i just say theres some amazing attention to detail here? During the raps with bf (round 1), pico, and skid and pump DD’s eyes were the brightest they could be. When MM steps in you can see that the eyes have weakened a bit showing that he’s reluctant to fight her and he eventually loses to her, then BF comes in and he’s broken. Thats when BF starts to win against the both of them. Amazing attention to detail!
He just reluctants, but not like in original corruption, DD still fights, even if its a bit weaker than when its Pico and Spooky kids turn. Its GF who gives in when seeing her mother, which leading to DD being reluctant to fight his wife too, and eventually weakened himself when BF reappears
The fact that at 3:41 EVIL Mommy Mearest sings Devastation seems it's as if the corruption was taunting GF, as if saying "if you were only there...perhaps your dear boyfriend would have fought harder, it's all your fault that he is under our control once more, GF, no one else." pretty spoopy
Yes, but maybe if mom wasn't never corrupted, dad will win at 100% bc gf without another people is too weak, pico can control a little bit himself, senpai.. He cant be "corrupted", instead they can restore his data, skid n pump are kids, preatty easy to corrupt/uncorrupt, bf is the most hard not because is bf, is because is the player, but we can see dad using the "player power" (droping to his favor the health bar reducing the bf HP) Skid n pump can but not for much time, pico can but no droping the health, gf can but she needs help, mom can beacuse she didnt take much damage and recovers really fast, senpai can beacuse he tecnichally was alredy a corrupted data, special spirit, bf can but ONLY for us, we use him to win every song and beat the bad guys, but if we are the bad guys, who can defeat the player? The 3 only i can know that can probably defeat him are Sonic exe (80%) Shaggy (99% if he dont use the 0.00001% of his power) And all te things that dosent have a corrupted version like DK, ganondorf, crash bandicot and all that dosent have a corrupted
Alright, I did not expect any of that going into this, and I’m hella late to the series you’ve got going on as a whole… But you’ve got me invested on what happens next.
This is absolutely amazing! The health bar drain gives a good effect, but also the way the sprites of Girlfriend and Daddy Dearest changes from completely resisting the corruption to falling back into it, which gives the impression that there is no happy ending. In short, VERY well done!

I must admit, I can't wait to see what comes next. As for this, awesome video, I love all the little details and references. A few details I noticed are the health drain and when it fades, gf doesn't want to fight mm or bf towards the end, dd only stops when I assume he couldn't keep it up anymore, there's plenty of references I noticed too, little bits in the music relating to other tracks, love all the little details. Keep up the awesome work!
This is exactly what I imagined Funkin' Night Friday to be like. The bar to be moved based on how much does it right along with the winner being decided by who is the highest. Otherwise there's really no point on why the opponent is there.
I like how in the original Deathmatch, DD gave up after seeing his wife, and didn't fight back. But here, DD obviously got overpowered along with GF, even if they did their best.
This is hands down the best finale Ive seen cause this really feels like there fighting for there life and is like a final stand against complete destruction
I just realized something. Whenever one of the corrupted’s bar goes down to show their losing icon, THATS when they get switched out. It’s like the corruption is desperately trying to corrupt them without letting their hosts get uncorrupted. Jesus Christ why does this make this so much better
I like the detail of when girlfriends mom comes out she basically gives up feeling like its hopeless if her mother managed to lose, and because of that DD basically started to falter and lose concentration on putting pressure on. That or girlfriend was just in general getting tired...but definitly looks like she just gives up at that point. In general I'm really liking the new corruption stuff because its not just reskins and retextures with disjointed notes and horrible auto tuning. Also looks like depending on after each time someone switches depending on the length of the bar it determines the amount of corruption their hit with after they switch out as when Girlfriends mom switches out and the bar is almost full their hit with a massive chunk of corruption. Also looks like DD takes on the brunt of the corruption from the others until the Mother comes out.
I like how just like in deathmatch dd and gf started to weaken when mm went to fight them and how when it was bfs turn again only gf emotionally weakened because only she cares about him while dd doesn't like him in the slightest
4:55 i think at start she just didn't get sad before but now she just realized she was about to hurt her own boyfriend and her mother so she realized and didn't let the bar go down

I loved the design of Corrupted DD, it's not shit like others I've seen. and also the ending, it's either Bf (because it went back in time, and that's the power of Bf) or it's Spirit.
I will always love the touch of them dropping out of deathmatch state when confronted with MM fully corrupted, just showing how much they actually cared for her, they were devastated to see her like that and that fragile emotional state forced them out of it
I don't think GF gave up at mom's part, I think she just isn't as strong or durable as DD; she had to use her powers to cure herself, and didn't use her powers until song 3 here. Seems to me she was catching her breath and unleashed her powers for a limited time here.
I love the callback of the Song BF and corrupted MM did a while back when GF was singing against her, that was awesome! I like that every corrupted character gets destroyed (healthbar wise) before they switch, gives a really good touch of a final struggle to survive and I was right on MM being too strong, She really is insane. I just noticed too, when Corrupted MM sings, None of the corrupted characters were appearing in the background, I feel theres got to be something about that, I don't know what though. Oh, and New timeline all together, meaning all the events up to pixel day 4 HAVE happened and now its Spirit and BF again, Huh, Curious, THEORY TIME. All I can think of is, Spirit tries way harder and attempts to erase the soul of Corrupted BF and somehow wins, or Spirit escapes the video game and helps DD, OR something happens in the game itself and Corrupted BF just gets destroyed with spirit. Either that or this mysterious person helps DD and GF before BF beats spirit. All I can do is think of the possiblites, and you lot got me stumped on this one AH! cant wait to see what it is.
the mom part bg thing was just a bug I missed healthbar thing is meant to be that each character essentially has their own health; its set back to default for each new character, and bf's saves at the end of his starting part and reverts back when he comes out again at the end
@@thesetaintedsouls Yeah I knew about the healthbars saving, I thought it was a nice touch that all the characters besides MM were all the way drained (thanks to DD and GF) before they swapped to the next character, I do like that you saved the health as well! as for the background, I didnt realize that was a bug, at first I thought It was a feature where the corruption was being pushed back to the point they had no other option but corrupted MM and they were trying to recover y'know?
What an epic(initial) finale! Mommy mearest, like in the original version weakens both dd and gf and bf finishes them both of. Looks like my theory for spirit being the one who speaks the text came out as true at least to an extend. Looks like we are going back to spirit's week instead of getting a soul bf week, let's see what's going to happen in this alternate timeline when senpai is downed and bf fights spirit Original timeline: DEAD END Second timeline: 3 left: spirit, daddy dearest, girlfriend
This was so awesome and so depressing at the same time, just like the original deathmatch, you and your whole modding team did absolutely brilliant on this!, can't wait to see what happens next!.. Who knows, maybe it is Senpai/Spirit, but I think it's soul bf.
I love the Deathmatch reference in this song! It represents how this song doesn't completely replace Deathmatch just like Cycles. Edit: *Seems like an old friend has came back from the dying pixelated realm...*
6:00 the moment DD and GF's bar stopped moving when they were corrupted further, you know they inevitably lost all their strength and lost to Corrupted BF
rewatching this gave me some insight thats honestly big brain by the creators: DD when he has the strings on still had his power up, The reason GF was still singing at that point was so DD didnt get tired faster as well as being pushed to a corner, He was the only reason they survived as long as they did after Corrupted MM went away, notice too after he (and by extenstion GF) gets too exhausted, his power goes away and they BOTH get corrupted faster (NOTICE how GF LOOKS at DD when his power goes away), I love this touch in the video. I think GF didnt use her power against corrupted MM was because she was exhausted after the battle with the Spook kids, NOT because of her holding back which I first thought. Remember, GF isnt as powerful or enduring as DD or MM so She couldn't keep her power up However, One thing I also noticed is, DD did hold back a bit against corrupted MM, but thats kind of obvious and I thought otherwise

Now that I think it since gf’s nails are very sharp when DD sings she could’ve slashed at them and try to make it harder for the corruption to takeover,but hey this is one of the best corruption series I’ve ever seen

Song is an absolute banger. When I listen to this I can feel the desperation when gf and dd are singing through this last ditch losing battle. Shit is intense and I love it.
I feel like the only way you cpuld make it better, story wise, was if it was an endurance challenge. Like the chart is still as hard, but you have to try for much longer. This is the last stand, afterall

Loved the song, and the mechanics; everything here is awesome, even the lore is better than Phantom Fear’s original mod! I liked how every sprite in the video is beautifully drawn, and each character references their own song from the Reimagined series, and even others like Dusk in 6:05 and Corrupted Whitty the chase’s Vexation in 6:39. This is basically Deathmatch, but way better (and its not even deathmatch) - GF fights back with Dad (even tho she kinda broked in Mom part since on her parts health bar Stopped "hp drain".), Pico, Spooky Kids and Mom have longer sections (in og thers like 1-3 singing parts (idk how to call it)). So yeah, can't wait to see future content of Corruption Reimagined.
