The game seems so bad that it makes you want to play anyway

To be fair it probably looks bad because it’s on the switch and this is stuff being captured on the switch

I preordered this when it was announced at the Direct. Now they're showing me that it has lore? Will this be the next Dark Souls?

@Plush_Onipresente_87 True though at least nowadays it's a lot cheaper to fully experience Dimensions if you use the Toy Pad emulator or NFC tags (you can even play it for free if you have a good PC and are willing to break a few laws lol)

Freddy Fazbear and Invincible in the same game is something else, plus, Funko Fusion was the first one to beat Fortnite to both franchises in the same game.

I was literally just thinking about how funny a nendoroid video game would be because you could have spongebob, mike wazowski, super mario, shinji ikari, and aioi yuuko in the same video game. It's such a dumb idea but the thought of "get in the eva mr squidward!" Is so funny to me.

A lighthearted nendoroid jrpg I feel like would sell really well

Funko pops are so soulless I feel my soul leaving my body just looking at them. Nendos are way more appealing.

The story would still seem confusing and the gameplay would still look bad. It just has a different hunk of plastic in the limelight.

@@Allustar as much as I loved lego dimensions I don't think the plot was anything groundbreaking. To be fair a big crossover like this is difficult to write a coherent story for since there's so much tonal differences between IPs. That being said, I think that a lot of the enjoyment that came from lego dimensions wasn't from the story, but moreso how expressive characters were in their animations and seeing how the interact with each other. I think a hypothetical nendoroid game could pull this off just as well if not better than lego dimensions because they have more detailed designs, so there's more potential for the characters to express themselves through their many animations and interactions with other characters. I think because the characters will be easier to portray accurately using nendoroids than using funko, it will also make playing in their different worlds more fun since not only could the playable characters be like this, but also NPCs as well. It would be a lot easier to make a world using nendoroids feel alive than using a world of funko characters because of the expressive potential. I think smash bros untimate is a solid example of how characterization can contribute to the casual enjoyment of the game despite how much the plot of world of light sucked. Heck, the civilization series does this too, there's a reason why gilgamesh is so beloved in that community despite the fact that the game has no plot beyond "develop a civilization as different historical figures". As for the gameplay, it just kind of depends on the developers, it could be something truly great or it could be a big mess. It's kind of like the difference between modern gamefreak making pokemon scarlet/violet and monolithsoft making breath of the wild and xenoblade 3. One development team rushed out a game and made a glitchy mess, whereas the other took their time and made a polished and high quality experience. TLDR: I don't think plot matters in a crossover as big as this or a hypothetical nendoroid game as much as characterization does. The gameplay could be hit or miss, but this just kind of depends on the developers. I do ultimately disagree with you however I do understand where you're coming from, but hey a nendoroid game is just hypothetical so it doesn't really matter at the moment.

the reality is the franchises its advertising are noy aimed at kids and kids are the only ones who will want to play this game 100 percent flop...
