I feel like Funky Friday is at a state of the devs being active working on the update while the community sits back waiting. Something similar happened to TDS (Tower Defense Simulator) as they were working hard for the update while the community sits back waiting for the devs to finish.
All thanks to Roblox EA, we lost the most popular rhythm based game that Roblox had to offer. Less on the game and more them trying to fit micro transactions in a 100% skill based game. There might have been legal issues but game fam didn’t do ANYTHING to help with Funky Friday’s cause
Im honestly hoping that the year-long delay for updates has been for two reasons 1. Java is waiting for any sort of contracts with GameFam to expire so they dont have to deal with the bullcrap they bring anymore 2. They're putting as much effort as possible into a massive update as a way to make up for the lost time and content Either way, I hope FF makes a comeback. It didnt deserve any of the crap GameFam brought upon it in the slightest.
I originally thought that funky Friday had died because of the controversy, but it looks like they're actually going to be remastering the whole game and I'm really excited to see what this massive and major update will bring to the table if it ever does come to fruition. This is to Java and the rest of the team really put your heart into this one my friends

FNB will never get that amount of players because they are not as well optimized, One of the reasons why Funky Friday continues to have active players is because it is quite compatible with all devices

It's literally the best fnf game, many animations, lots of songs, even mid song animations, that's just stupid saying this is the worst fnf game, and if it is, that means funky friday is garbage for you, not mentioning that they don't do this game for money, cuz if they did, they would have stopped updating the game a long time ago

For that new player. They might be playing on controller, and because these games aren’t optimized for that controller, there’s a glitch that can happen that only allows for them to hit the up and right notes. The fox is for them to make 2 sets of the same key binds, for some reason. It works in fnb so idk if it works here.
Funky Friday has been the only fnf game I enjoyed playing on roblox cause its the only one that doesn't crash on my crappy phone. I got sad when I heard that a lot of the good mods got removed due to the Gamefam Sonic Incident.
Honestly i could never go back to playing funky friday no matter what update they pull...the whole thing with the sonic ordeal, gamefam touching the game remotely and sometimes how toxic the FF community can be at times. I dont think i will ever play the game again. It's joever for me
From my eyes, I found fnf all the way back of late 2021, during the skid/pump week when it first came out. I didn't play it until week 3 came out, and not gonna lie I'm happy to know I played that game TWO years ago now. It def brought a lot of fun and enjoyment to me, and I hate to see how Funky Friday is very dead now. [There are leaks from devs and that, but even then its almost been an entire year.]
funky friday was 1 of my fav games on roblox, after the colabration with gamefam its completely dead, even if they discontinue the colabration too late for them bc its already ended in my heart FNB however is a well made game and the devs are actually not some idiots where they collab with a such embarrasing company like gamefam, thats why i move onto FNB FOREVER.
Just thought i'd put this here In dev announcments in their discord on the 19th they are considering on releasing a small update if things go well, we could get a christmas update.
Despite it not being updated for almost a whole year, I still have been quite active on the game, playing for a few hours every so often. Funky Friday has been one of my favorite games since I started playing. October 22nd, 2021. My main goal was to become a pro in the game, like it didn't have to be Osu! Mania level of course. Just a Funky Friday/FNF pro. I am very grateful that my friend introduced me to the game, cause I have loved it ever since, and honestly, never gave up on it. Except for the fact I quit uploading vids on it though. Anyways, I just wish the devs could inform us on the status more rather than just teasers. But the teasers and leaks are always good, can't ask for too much, which is enough to give me and my friend some hope. I'm guessing if they are updating it, it's probably going to be an exact year since the last update dropped. -Off topic, but dude you're hella good lol
Yeah same for me. I've always played funky Friday consistently besides for a few breaks here and there. And now I've gotten pretty good. As I now started playing Osu!Mania with me getting to top 40k with 17 hours of playtime. Which I'm pretty sure is really good. And me being 7th Dan for speed, tech, and jacks with 6th Dan stamina. And if you're not familiar with it I have it on my yt. But that in funky Friday is being able to FC Daw wars mania mix, getting 8 misses on freedom dive, and getting an FC on Rude Buster with 99.90% acc. So I really have to give all that to Funky Friday for keeping m interested. (Although the scores I mentioned aren't up to date as I can't run funky Friday with more than 15fps now so I stopped playing it and play Osu! more) It's really astonishing how I got so much better over the course of 3 years.
Java and hes Team are working on the game ngl I am excited for this when JavaCoded Will Revive the game since he will bring back r15 because r15 is our life and also Nostalgia :)
someone could play the game in 2022, then forget untill now and if they weren’t paying attention, they would think this is a new event and the game is still alive
The thing that I saw that made me really sad is when They said no more morphs that was the one thing that brought me back morphs especially after the hog and mfm morphs got scrapped😢
I was extremely disappointed with the controversies that had occurred not to mention the partnering with another game. They could have tried to monetize other people's work and that's what made me, as a player decide to renounce the game.
I wouldn't say it's completely dead, for a game that hasn't updated in a year and 3k people play it everyday is kinda impressive. Plus a lot of people still make videos of ff and them including me miss the game, you can think what you want about the game but don't go around commenting on other people's hobbies playing a game and telling youtubers that the game is "shit". Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy.

@@FrostedStar2005well when ff gets updated after Christmas, it will be on par with fnb. Ive seen the leaks and some look better than fnb. But we will have to wait until then.
