@@turnupthesun81 yep vampire Brooklyn, wayans bros, he acting career just looks like a life story day by die. They really paid for John Witherspoon to be him in everything and no other character just act out a subject matter because they let him freestyle most of the time.
Just watched an interview with Spoon saying where he was brought in after the movie was already shot and told to improv. This whole thing with him and Eddie was totally unscripted. Brilliant.
I still laugh like a little girl when Eddie kept shouting back to David's character everytime his dad said something and then he would get annoyed. Sometimes Eddie have that childlike quality to make you laugh but yet not ridiculous about it.
Peep the foreshadowing in this scene when Gerard's mother says about Angela, "She looks like Marcus' girl." Then take a look at Eddie's face. Priceless.
Every time I watch this movie, I see something else. The Mom had her gloves on the whole time, even while eating. And David Alan Greer's facial expressions are priceless!!!
@@jrsmith1998 theres an interview with him and he said Eddie wanted him in the movie and when he showed up to shoot they told him there wasnt a script and he was going to have to ad lib the entire scene. Spoon said he went and bought the mushroom suit that day too! True comedic legends on screen that day!
@@jrsmith1998 if you watch John Witherspoon 's interview on VladTV he clearly states this Scene was all improv.....They threw them in after the movie was finished for this scene because Eddie Murphy wanted em!
Grestest indeed....even Eddie Murphy in these scenes was impressed by John. John ad libed all his lines. He got no script for this scene....all he did he freestyled....and it worked. Now thats a great sign of a great comedian
She was on Martin getting her hair done and toe nails sand blasted in Shanaenae's hair salon by Gina. Gina fuked up her hair and patches of hair fell out.
And she was on Good Times, the episode with the deaf son and she got in an argument with Florida about how to raise him, and at the end of the episode the boy almost died when he was on the edge of the broken elevator
My absolute favorite Scene for this legend! Amazingly he wrote and they all improv’d the entire scene! 😂What timing and instincts to this ensemble!!! Rest on legend😞😭 rest on!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🌟🌟🌟

My heart is broken this morning of October 30, 2019. Before I left for work, my Daughter informed me the my Man John Whiterspoon had passed on. It was a fucked up start of my day! I had no idea he was gone.. Smfh.. RIP John "Pops" Whitherspoon.
