Almost sound like like the 319s. The 321s are bound for Clacton on sea and crossover by the Intercity set from Norwich to London Liverpool Street at Marks Tey.
As Gerry and the Pacemakers said all those years ago (and I bet they weren't talking about the Beeching Report either) what year do I have in mind? Liked the bit with the man who tried to get the 90 to sound the trumpet bit slow on the uptake the 90 that is not the man who was encouraging him to sing (!!) I feel like listening to "Sound the Trumpet" I'll do that now... Back in a minute...
OK I've listened to it sung by Michael Chance and James Bowman (both counter-tenors) composed by Purcell available on the Pocketsymph channel. Well the year I had in mind was 1963 no 321s or 90s in those days! Of course, the song by Gerry & Pacemakers was "I LIKE IT"! a No. 1 in '63 when "The ReShaping of British Railways" was published. Purcell's "Sound the Trumpet" was a bit earlier (!) and didn't make the charts why not? (Answer when I've listened to "Remember not O Lord our offences"...)
