I read in the manga that Alphonse can't cry because he was now a suit of armor. I know this is such a small detail, but found it interesting that they skimmed over this detail.

People rag on 03 and CoS a lot but it's a story and I absolutely adore it. The character development and stuff is great, love all of it sm.

It's quite sad that Al never really figured out that Ed was always just thinking of the well-being of the animals that Al picked up, and the reason why may be even sadder, seeing as he had a better idea of what went into caring for the animals because Al's concept of hunger/thirst/pain/life was warped and he no longer had any idea of how to properly take care of a living being.

This episode from the 2003 fma anime was in fact in my opinion the funniest episode within the entire fma series.
