Cushy pensions, free flights and the opportunity to earn extra income with high paying advisor, lobbying jobs or leading committees. No respect for any of these leeches at all.
actually Politicans past 02 or 04 don't get penisons Accross the board because it's unstable which is ironic since all the old farts won't retire now lol
and imagine the media attack if a high school drop out challenged the status quo in an election, Trump-style! how ironic, all their study and suits just to act like spazmoids in a green or red room
@@NangDoofer nah it was a public school this was 2004 so shit would hit the fan regularly and we even used our own version of 94a To prevent it from getting too rowdy
It’s just like back at school 😂 “say sorry”/“the member of the opposition will retract his statement” “Yeah but it’s bullshit”/“it’s an unfair statement” “Alright, get out!”/“the member of the opposition will leave this parliament”
They have a gallery and you can watch this nonsense live. Tax payers should be allowed to take cabbages and tomatos, then lob them at members of parliament like you would a village idiot in the dark ages.
When the lights went out, it was like a bunch of kids in primary school with hands and faces on the windows whilst they watch a dog taking a shit. The teacher knows it is more interesting than the class.
i know nothing about politics but this gives me year 6 classroom vibes. I can just imagine the speaker going "WATERFALL" and everyone replying with a waterfall sound (as we used to do in primary when the class was too loud).
Oh my god when I went to school the teacher would just yell at you with this look , like you're completely screwed if you don't do exactly what they say
I got a laugh out of some of them, but mostly this reminded me of the reality that these clowns run our country, I've seen more cadence in a highschool debate than in any of these clips.
I work as a professional clown and went to Canberra with two other clowns to see if we could get into Parliament and question time in the full costumes .we got to the door of the question time gallery and the old bastard wouldn't let us in. so they are quite particular about the type of clown they let in
Immediately following 'question time' they should have 'insult time', where they're allowed to say whatever they want to each other without getting removed.
Meh, agree or disagree, anybody can get in with legitimate votes, for better or for worse at least there's some illusion of choice for the Aussie people
Their pettiness and carry on makes me embarrassed to be an Australian. If these people are ELECTED to speak for the people and this is how they treat that privilege and honour, then it’s no wonder our country is in deep shit.
I agree. This is all just one big joke and political point scoring. No genuine questions except softball ones for their own party. We all like to have a joke and a laugh but maybe when you are being paid to represent the people and this country maybe you could conduct yourself with a moticorm of decorum out of respect for the power and position you hold. Its easier I guess when representing 'ourselves', Put the British coat of arms up like the courts still do. Discrace the monarch and watch the GG come running
I am a 70 year old lady and disabled pensioner and while I am forever grateful for a roof over my head living in housing commission I now understand why after ten years I am still waiting for the department to make a decision on whether they should supply me with a bedroom door .. Just a foot note I am still waiting .
I'm 22 year old boy and this is giving me flashbacks of primary school and high school, it's quite shocking that an esteemed position such as theirs is being treated so casually it seems.
try contacting a local lions club if you’re able to! i’ve met some of the volunteers for a lions club in diamond valley, VIC and they’ve done things from cleaning drive ways to repairing front doors for seniors and veterans. not sure if this will be useful but i hope it can help, my mother also lives in housing commission and i understand how frustrating it can be.
Wow, just wow. You literally were given a home by the government. Many don’t even have that and you’re complaining about a door? The entitlement of your generation. Unbelievable.
We need a breathalyser on the door into the chamber, especially after lunch… far out. The best speech I have ever seen was by Anthony Albanese when lambasting Malcolm Turnbull and the then LNP Opposition about their opposition to the Labor Government fibre-optic NBN roll-out.
Pauline Hanson gets my vote for least competent and most likely to create comedy unintentionally. Concerning that she is still in parliament and still being taken seriously after all that has happened over the years!
Back when I was in school and they asked us what we wanted out vocations to be I answered a Politician. I was told “you need to do a lot of work and a lot of experience is needed, as it’s a very serious and difficult job to maintain” I said “is it really? Doesn’t seem like it from what I’ve seen” I stand by those words 28 years later.
Great footage...I had almost forgotten that Bronny holds the distinguished official record of being the biggest tosser to ever sit in the seat of power....
Pauline Hanson has been in the news and in politics for my entire life and hasnt accomplished anything, nothing in Australia changes all the news hosts, all the morning hosts, all the weather people, all the tv shows holy shit you can leave the country in 2010, come back in 2023 and everything is exactly the same
First and foremost, she looks after her electorate. Every time she votes LNP, she's made a back door deal to improve her own electorate. That's why she gets voted in time and time again.
@@tryteathat’s… an interesting take. Isn’t she a mining magnate? She has millions to spend on campaigns and relies on lets be honest, a lot of racist fear mongering to get support. I find it hard to believe she is genuinely doing a better job taking care of her electorate than the next runner up. Seems to me she has leveraged her vast fortune and connections to secure her position more than taking care of her electorates. On behalf of (I’m estimating) 99% Australians, Pauline Hanson can get thrown in some kind of cassowary thunderdome
@@alexmancera6566 she's basically what you'd expect from a very bogan white Australian. She's not from money, nor in mining. She's great at winning points with bogans and very nationalistic people.
Pauline unmasking herself like some supervillain absolutely kills me everytime, as does everyone going "what the hell?" Like it was hilarious and also proved her point
I think they were surprised because none of the 76 senators actually wore a burqa before so everyone thought it was some random person just casually waltzing into the parliament. not trying to start an argument just trying to add on :)
@@edwardheaney3641 please, everyone knew the only person to pull off a stunt that braindead was Pauline -and she had to hand in her ID to get through security so no there wasn''t any risk of it being a random person
@@daniellarkins6983 I have been watching too many British videos. This is one of the few instances we use the American spelling, so I automatically default to the British spelling.
Barnaby Joyce perpetually sounds like a mean girl in high school who is the only one who hasn’t realized shes already developed alzheimers. Also Harry Jenkins was the best speaker we’ve ever had
"how is the member for hunter meant to resume his seat and leave the room?" "he can do it sequentially, he's quite clever." "having sat down she will leave under 94A, sequentially."
@@Civman-yr8lb 😂 words. Check how things really work. Dont you guys have to rent your land from the royal family still? It cant be owned? Seems very independent of the crown.
Our country really is run by old men with the mental age of kindergarteners I will admit, whoever shouted out "pay the bill" on the second video got a chuckle out of me
Costs the Australian Taxpayer over $250,000 a DAY just for the Politicians to show up for the 18-20 sitting weeks of Parliament. That is not including their staff, security, all the other administration and turning the lights and Aircon on. And this is what we get?
