Funniest Seinfeld Moments Part 1. This is not my video. Part 2: • Funniest Seinfeld Mome... Part 3: • Funniest Seinfeld Mome... Part 4: • Funniest Seinfeld Mome...
The greatest TV show of all time. It has no main story, so you don't have to follow anything. All the ideas are original and smartly designed. None of the characters are like each other in almost any aspect. It makes a perfect bond between everyday life routines and crazy unproportional events that might happen. It uses just the right amount of sarcasm at the right time. No romance and love scenes are included, which makes it invulnerable to becoming banal. Seinfeld reposes purely on jokes and funny moments, instead of improvising love junk to fill the footage up with. (watch Big Bang to get the idea) and etc
You’ve literally explained why it can’t be eligible for the best TV show of all time. It has no substance so there’s no plot, and it has no real characters so the levels of comedy achieved in The Office (UK and USA), Peep Show and Friends aren’t reached in Seinfeld. It’s a good sketch show, sure, but Morecambe and Wise, Monty Python and Enfield + Chums are all better sketch shows And to pre-empt anyone saying Seinfeld’s longevity and big fanbase shows that it’s good, just remember that Fast & Furious also has longevity and a huge fan base. Quantity doesn’t equal quality
Seinfeld was way more popular than Friends. You can’t even compare the two. Everyone (guy or girl) watched Seinfeld, not the same with Friends. Guys never sat around and watched Friends every Thursday. They did for Seinfeld. Friends was mostly watched by women (and not all of them).
@@scabab90 friends might be more popular now in the USA, but it wasn't as nearly as popular at its height as Seinfeld was. I don't know how the show was perceived in other countries. But as far as USA is concerned in mid 90's to early 2000's Seinfeld was much more popular than Friends, at least among my generation of millennials. The last episode of Seinfeld was viewed by far more people than last episode of Friends.
@@leeannalynn55 Yes but you're still talking about 1 country. Seinfeld may have been more popular in US but the show was not popular elsewhere. Friends was a little less popular in US but was a very popular show in countries all over the worldwide. Friends has worldwide popularity, Seinfeld has national popularity.
Bruce Lee : Now Mr Kramer , you gotta put your hip into it , SNAP it.......like this ! Kramer : Serenity now , Mr Lee.......Im afraid that my pupils will attack me with their viscious fists of fury :/
It’s weird how people actually come to you tube search for things they don’t like then comment about how they don’t like it. It says a lot about who they are as people
The way I see it they just feel upset they can't enjoy something everyone else does and want to be in on it but can't despite said efforts its all perfectly natural in its irrationality I don't blame them but they could be doing better but everyone can after all
I feel that one of the most beautiful overlooked scenes in this show is when Jerry is talking to Kramer and gets a cup to fill it up while Elaine takes a carton of orange juice out of Jerry’s refrigerator. Elaine takes the cup from Jerry’s hand and fills it up with the orange juice to drink it. As the conversation between Kramer and Jerry continues Jerry takes the cup of orange juice out of Elaine’s hand and starts drinking out of it. Elaine then proceeds to drink straight out of the carton. As all this happens no one in the room ever addresses it and the conversation between Jerry and Kramer continued like nothing happened. That’s what I love about shows like this and the office. They never tried to put the jokes in your face, and there were always jokes that could go right past u, but if u catch it it’s fucking hilarious.
Something similar keeps happening , like George throwing the phone for Jerry to catch, Jerry throwing something and Kramer, who just walked in catches it
MrUnlimitedTorque the hell are you even here for then?? Pay attention to the writing, the acting... Yeah Jerry's not an actor, but they often played on that, and man the delivery of the lines and his demeanor are perfect. Not to mention JLD's fresh end exceptional acting! Dull and unfunny... (Please read the last sentence with Seinfeld's classic tone for better effect)
@@simonetanzi5103 *Jerry Seinfeld* came up in a random compilation video I just watched, and Americans as usual in the comments were saying how great he is. I came here to see if *Seinfeld* was as shit as I remember it being, when it was played either in the early morning, late afternoon (between 5pm and 6pm), or around midnight on channels like *BBC Two* and *Channel 4.* Most of the other American sitcoms on British TV in the 80's, 90's and 00's, were broadcast around similar times as they never pulled in big audiences. People would be busy watching the news or cartoons on *BBC One* or *ITV* in the morning, the news or the Aussie soaps on *BBC One* or *ITV* in the late afternoon, or things like films on *BBC One* or *ITV* or American dramas on *Channel 5* around midnight. The majority of ones people actually watched were mainly broadcast on the children's programming blocks *CBBC* or *CITV* which are now children's TV channels, like *Kenan & Kel, Saved by the Bell, Blossom, Sister Sister* etc. After watching this video of the best bits *Seinfeld* like 99% of the USA's sitcoms is just as shit as I remember. The USA hasn't produced a single funny sitcom since the 90's (not that there were many funny American sitcoms in the first place), with classic shows like *Roseanne, Friends, Home Improvement, The Cosby Show,* and *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.* Same goes for 99% of American stand-ups, and American comedy TV shows in general.
I hated it when I was younger because I didn't understand why people were laughing at certain things. But as a grown up and having experienced many of these things, I laugh my ass off at the show now.
Many people have expressed the view that Jerry Seinfeld can't act. ( depending what definition of acting is used). Even an episode of Seinfeld poked fun at Jerry for not being able to act. My view is that in Seinfeld Jerry is absolutely perfect for the part. I couldn't imagine someone else playing his part.
Also, many have expressed the view that Seinfeld is a show about nothing. My view is 180 degrees in the opposite direction. Seinfeld shows EXACTLY how the human race is. All the personality types, the agendas, the nuances. ( in an hilarious way). Seinfeld is a show about everything.
Cause Jerry isn't an actor, he's a comedian. And I agree his role in the show doesn't require him to be a great actor, he's just kind of himself. Plus surrounded by talent such as Jason Alexander.
Seinfeld is easily one of my favorite sitcoms. So delightfully quirky and awkward. A classic, in my opinion. But if you don't find it funny, I don't know what to tell you.
The homeless guy walking away while Kramer is talking about the rickshaws gets me everytime... its so random and he just keeps talking, what a brilliant show Seinfeld was/is
i can think of 5 shows I find more appealing that came out since seinfeld: The Office, Community, the good place, BOJACK HORSEMAN, American Vandal. Seinfeld is not my favorite show because of these shows. American Vandal is the best example of satire, community makes fun of sitcoms in the best way, bojack is more of a depressing drama with comedic elements, the good place is witty and philosophical, and the office is just funny and cringy. These shows arent garbage in my opinion. You should check them out.
@@darthzhall Yeah I dont think Seinfeld would be that succesfull if it came back, It would atleast not be the number one sitcom again. However you shouldnt forget what kind of an impact Seinfeld have had on tv. Im not even sure some of the shows you mention would exist without Seinfeld. Its been such a huge influence on future sitcoms cause they created such timless humour and funny scenarios that still works in many situations today. I cant tell you how many times Ive seen a Seinfeld joke or scenario in another sitcom.
+Praetorian, White Wild No, I don't think you get it. Only Jerry's character (of the 4 regulars) was Jewish, and he had no problems getting soup. George and Elaine--non-Jewish characters--they're the ones who had problems getting soup.
"I know why we have reservations." "I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to HOLD the reservation." LMAO owned her silly ass!
When I was a kid, I thought this show was so boring. All they did was talk, talk, and talk. Now that I'm an adult, it all makes sense now. It's a good funny show.
It's straight up intellectual adult humor. It takes the mundane and makes it entertaining. You can take an everyday situation like doing the dishes, add some Seinfeld pixie dust and it can be hilarious.
I remember growing up watching seinfeld with my dad and I never really got a lot of the jokes but it's grown on me like a fine aged scotch. This is the best sitcom ever produced, hands down.
Definitely one of the greatest for sure. I also grew up watching Seinfeld but alongside Cheers and Frasier which are also in my opinion just as good as Seinfeld in their own way. Each show had a unique brand of humor for sure. I enjoyed all of it. I never got into Friends though, not my type of show.
@@theyiddleryeeter7622 Same, I grew up watching Seinfeld and Frasier. Frasier is still my favorite, but Seinfeld is a close second. I could never stand Friends either.
I know, I worked for Hertz as a porter for a couple of years, I saw that kind of shit happen all the time, they would just take the reservation, anyone can take the reservations! but they would never hold the reservations.
@@kandgray Well, they do play a laughter track every time somebody makes any kind of utterance. We are communal beings. If everyone laughs at something we tend to join in even if we don’t find it funny.
@@derek9437 I really wanted to watch the shoes again but I can't get it on my phone. That's why I'm her watching the lil parts out here! I miss this very much!
You know who I feel sorry for ? The crew of this and any other sitcom: they cannot experience the same laughter as the viewers because they have already seen all the jokes while filming but without the storytelling of the episodes. What a shame...
Saw this show as a kid and everyone's go to line when I dint think it's funny was YoU JuSt DoNt UnDeRsTaNd It but I'm 27 now and this shit is not funny in the slightest lmao
How do you guys rate Jerry Seinfeld's acting? I just saw he was nominated for an Emmy a few times (along with the other cast members) for best leading actor and I was very surprised. He was fine but to me you could always tell he was the one who wasn't an actual actor but it never bothered me partly because I assumed/knew he wasn't cast for his acting. He was the writer of the show that was named after him. But Jerry won more acting awards than Jason Alexander for Seinfeld (who was brilliant as George imo). Weird. Huge huge fan of the show though!
Strange...George and Kramer were far and away the best actors of the 4 main characters. Elaine and Kerry weren't bad but not even close to the other two.
OK, I FOUND THE DIALOGUE A BIT ENTERTAINING...BUT I DIDNT FIND THE "FUNNY" . WHAT IS IT AMERICANS LAUGH AT ABOUT THESE SKITS ? ISNT THIS SHOW OVERRATED ?
Honestly, I do like Friends a lot...but nothing comes close to Seinfeld. Friends gets bogged down with soap opera style story lines and romantic subplots. Friends speaks to you on a more emotional level that you can relate to in your relationships in real life, whereas Seinfeld requires you to have a sense of self awareness and the ability to laugh at yourself and others without being PC about it. Friends reaches out to mainstream audiences, but with Seinfeld, you either "get it" or you don't. For the people that "get it", the enjoyment level is far above anything Friends can ever give, and this is coming from a huge fan of Friends. Friends sets up punch lines during each scene to bounce off it later on, which makes it a shallow (though still very funny) experience. Seinfeld's humor comes from YOU, the viewer, which makes it all the more funny and personal. Seinfeld is the better written show hands down.
yeah thats exactly what i said havent found a sitcom as good as frasier in years. im currently watching everybody loves raymond and its really great but not really as good.
People are so stupid, they came here to see the best moments of the show and don't watch the show...how that make sense?how do you expect to laugh at Jerry acting like Kramer if you don't know how Ktamer act?It is not surprise that they are finding boring...
Seinfeld is the only television series that I know of (thats not animated) where you can pick whatever episode at whatever season and know happening and for that it’s timeless
6:00 Jason Alexander said this scene had his favorite line in all of Seinfeld because... "Now of all the things George could have said... all the potential lies... you know, we're dealing with Larry David, so the things he could have come up with are innumerable, but what they wrote for me was: 'Was that wrong? Should I not have done that??' . . . I thought that was... again, you're always looking for 'what can I learn about the character?' and that [line], to me, told me so much about who this guy is, it was such a perfect... no lie was gonna get you out, so you go with 'I didn't know' . . . only George Costanza would think of that."
One of best shows about nothing but it really is about everything. Actors are hysterical. Writing best ever Yada Yada wearing our puffy shirt and eating pretzels that make us thirsty 😋
I used to watch this show from the age of 7 til I was into my teens with my dad. It ended when I was 8 but we always watched the re-runs. Such a great, timeless tv show!
Growing up in a Spanish speaking country, but fluent in English I did understand some of the jokes when I first moved to Canada/ However, several years later I started to understand them. Today this is my favorite show of all time. My family even presented me with the entire DVD collection some years ago. I think the way the characters were presented in hilarious. They are all amazing.
I kind of missed Seinfeld (born in the 90's, grew up on Friends and loved it) but looking back I can see how the quality of Seinfeld's humor is better than Friends'. Growing up I thought Seinfeld was a crappy old show with ugly people in it (Superficial much? Everyone in Friends is hot, something I now find weird). Now I just feel sorry for my younger self for missing out and like I need to go watch the show. Idk if other young millenials feel like they don't get older people's humor and I have a theory that it's because of Seinfeld, or the Seinfeld/Friends dichotomy. And then there are other shows like Chappelle's Show, Will & Grace, It's Always Sunny but I think Seinfeld had the most impact on a generation. Another thing: I can actually believe that the Seinfeld characters live in New York. The Friends characters look like they're from Colorado. Ok maybe not Colorado, but someplace that's definitely not New York.
Ugly people? Elaine was hot, and most of Jerry's girlfriends were hot, and a lot of other women were too who appeared on the show. Go back and watch some episodes, you can on TBS, and see. I don't know what it was about women in the 90s, they just so sensual and they didn't wear that much makeup to make themselves look beautiful, it was natural.
Friends is more like a soap opera that has one liners thrown in. I think Seinfeld had a quirky, funny bald-guy thing happening. Something Maria Tomei would appreciate. ;)
I've said it before and I'll say it again: We need to stop pitting sitcoms against one another. Especially Friends, which I feel people target a lot only because it's a very popular show and not because they have any worthy comparisons to make. So often I'll hear "Living Single is better than Friends. How I Met Your Mother is better than Friends. Seinfeld is better than Friends." Where are the comparisons to other shows? I don't mean to go on a rant, but it really just tires me out. All of these sitcoms made their mark on pop culture and society. We should just appreciate the shows for what they've done for the actors, the writers, and the audience instead of going to war about which show is the best. Have your opinions, don't dump on others.
Legendary show. Uncle Roddy really got me into Seinfeld way back in the day he was/still is the biggest Seinfeld fan ever. He can quote every line of every episode. But, it’s literally millions of people just like that. This show still has one of the biggest cult followings ever. One of the greatest shows ever on TV…
Seinfeld was so good, When the show ended - Jerry got married & stayed home to be a dad. - When interviewed by Charlie Rose, he said, he enjoys being at home for his kids & telling jokes to them ! I love a man w. an appreciation for life.💕🤗👍🏼
I recently when for an MRI and I had to be in there anywhere up to 40min - they asked me what music I wanted to listen to while I was in there with the headphones on and I said Seinfeld 😂. It was the quickest MRI I’ve ever had, just so you all know it’s an option 😂
What I found intresting is the last scene at the diner the Mustard bottles were bigger than than Ketchup bottles. Is that a backround joke they did? Because Mustard is used 50 percent less ratio to Ketchup in places of food, I found the sizes of the bottle to be intentional.
love the way George says "well, if i hear you correctly" pauses and looks him in the eye before saying "and..I think that I do" lol so funny even if you don't know what they're on about yet
