Pilots get in the habit of filling dead air with "uhhhhh" noises so that people they're talking to by radio can tell the difference between "I'm checking my instruments" silence and "the line is dead, something terrible might've happened" silence. Neat, huh? =)
As a paid vocalist trained for 12 years since I was 6 the guy at 11:18 is a freaking mad lad, the run he did in the middle of that is incredibly difficult and on top of that, his head voice flips were incredible, easy 9/10 to that dude, freaking bravo
fun fact, what sean was saying about being able to manipulate his voice well enough to know what the singer was doing with his vocal chords is called "kinesthetic empathy" and it's a very common trait in people w/ ADHD :))
@@deepblue8327 its a form of side yodeling! I can barely do it but this guy has perfect control, its dropping or rising immediately from one pitch to another, super hard to master.
@@elliotl.3181 Autotune is NOT that clean my guy, it always has a slight robotic sound to it which his singing most certainly didn't have. The the dude just has insane control of his voice and Jack's not dumb enough to put an autotuned singer in a video that he knows is gonna go out on the internet for millions of his fans to see. Put some respecc on his name :)
@@mariamtingz5544 I'm not saying that it is auto tuned, he clearly had great contro of his voice, but autotune on top of good singing is really, REALLY HARD to notice, almost every big singer you've heard from 2000's to today uses autotune and it's not noticeable most of the time. They use it for correcting voice imperfections and those times singers miss the note by so, so little that its not noticeable. I'm skeptical that there's no auto tune involved, but it's not impossible to do that without it, and tbh if there isn't, this guy is an amazing singer, if there is auto tune... he remains a great singer.
As a musician whose ATTEMPTED to sing with flawless vocal transition like the guy at the end, I will say, that man is an immediate legend. I could never pull that off. And I'm sure many others who have tried will agree. Bravo amazing voice man!
I wasn't saying he is pregnant. I was saying if he was a dad and laughing at his child hurting themselves like in the video would make him a great dad. I am a dad and when my kids are being silly like that hurt themselves its funny. Now if they cried id be right there
As someone who sings it’s actually amazing how well Peter Collins can control his falsetto and easily sing within key without singing melody or harmony
Ikr, his vocal control and precision of notes is so crisp and clear, and even when quiet he has a steady long tone. It's an amazing talent and skill he has
11:18 My brain is yelling 'is this being autotuned or not?' every time I listen to it. Still a fantastic sound either way but, I'm surprised I've not seen autotune being questioned yet.
@@imgonnasaythenword2100 Nope, mind not blown because it's something I knew. Perhaps you weren't aware that RU-vid comments are not direct, private messages, but are actually a public forum, and anyone is free to read and respond to them?
As a flight attendant, I can say the pilot one was MOSTLY accurate. What would make it better is to mumble inaudibly after the first few words so passengers can ding the call light and ask us what the hell he said (hahaha we don't know either). Unless it's a redeye flight and everyone in sleeping, in which case the PA will be so loud it could wake a hibernating bear.
that would be an interesting movie concept; instead of Snakes on a Plane, it's Bears on an Airplane; admittedly, there would be a lot less surprise attacks
How did it take me this long to realize “wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings” refers to MOONLIGHT hitting their feathers, and not an actual crescent moon marking???
so excited elle watkins was in this she’s so funny and creates some of my favourite tiktoks (also as an aussie it makes me so excited to see her being acknowledged by such a huge youtuber)
I love how Sean is complimenting the voice control at the end and asks "how are you able to do this" while almost being able to do it himself. Don't sell yourself short Sean, lmao
@@cathyqu4136 its not, his name is Peter Collins, and he is in my opinion one of the most technically advanced vocalists alive right now. Look him up :D
Some people use autotune to make them a singer and some people use it as an additional tool. That guy is the master of using it to enhance a beautiful sound.
@@Immort4l5 Please don’t respond. If people keep replying to these bot creators, RU-vid sees that as interactivity and the Algorithm thinks this person isn’t doing anything wrong. Just report and block them.
As someone who's been singing his entire life, I can say that man at the end has a great voice with a flawless ladder to boot And the tone is spot on! Nice vibrato and beautiful transitions all around - I've only just gotten to that point and it took me quite a time to get to it. Man is an absolute legend 💯
What I love about the cough alarm one is how the guy was mouthing along with her the same way I do when I go to voicemail when I'm trying to call someone.
This entire video feels like a personal viewing, like Sean's just showing you Tik-Tok's he has saved on his phone that he found funny and decided to show you.
This is so me when the entire video feels like a personal viewing, like Sean's just showing you Tik-Tok's he has saved on his phone that he found funny and decided to show you
Me 5 years ago having not seen Jack's videos: "Ew, jacksepticeye is for kids". Jack in this video: "Now I'm 31" Me today @30, a fan not missing any of his videos: "mfer is OLDER than me?"
I had somethin' similar, except I thought he was older than me...and I'm the older one, lol. Not by *much*, granted. I think its because he and my older brother have the same first name. Spelled the same, too.
Not only is his voice perfect, but so are his ears! He's playing with the measure and just holding on to each beat while hitting these perfect, unpredictable pitches. This is so satisfying to listen to.
7:27 I’m glad that the world is finally acknowledging Ronaldo’s “SIUUUUUUU” because we Portuguese people have been laughing our asses off for years with this
I've actually heard from a 747 pilot why they do those "uhh"s, and it's because when they do the announcements they're also preparing the plane for the journey: setting the autopilot, checking checklists, etc. So they tend to pay secondary attention to the announcement giving.
@@StudlyFudd13 This isn't true. The only required PA is the "BRACE" announcement before a crash so flight attendants can prepare the cabin. But an airline may require PAs, sometimes it's because passengers listen to pilots more. But their message about just flying the plane is highly insulting. It's not that inconvenient to hear a few words especially when they don't always make P.A.s
6:29 Taking that short nap, wake up after 15/20 mins feeling absolutely amazing but go “eh I’ll go back to sleep for just a bit longer” *spongbob narrator voice: **_one hour laaata_* “Oh god I feel like death”
Jack, I'm a teacher. I care about all the kids I work with and dedicate a large portion of my life to them, and even I laugh hard when kids get hurt suddenly lol
The way Sean laughed at the baby running into the clear door is so cute. He laughed SO hard at it, there’s something so familiar about it. It just makes you want to be the one to make him laugh as hard as that
3 months later and Francis the train spotter is living his best life being invited to shows all around the world and making tonnes of videos with celebrities and his favourite trains
That vocal control, I've been part of a choir pretty much my whole life and took lessons and that's not something that can just be taught. That is YEARS of practice and sheer talent coming together. That sent a shiver down my spine because it was absolutely beautiful
Every Jacksepticeye video ever created Boring title ✓ luring thumbnail ✓ wacky intro (may include the least catchy song ever created but still a banger) ✓ 'I love watching babies fall over, they're like little people' ✓ someone farting✓ then one of these options: 'Summing Irish' 'I have asthma' 'I have ADHD' 'I'm a drummer' The perfect recipe for the perfect youtube video.
@@robertpaulson6360 that's cool, I didn't know that! It's insane to think you'd still have to travel at 300,000 Kilometers a second for four years to reach it (if I'm understanding how "light-years" work lol)
As a fellow Irishman, I have to say, jacksepticeye is the reason people wish they were Irish. Plus the content he puts out, I mean I almost bought the Irish prep bowl. But, then I thought to myself, how much would I actually use it.
The way I laughed when Sean said "there's something about kids getting fucked----" and then the pause as he realized he should've said 'fucked up' lmao
The train guy makes me genuinely happy, it's a reminder that no matter how dark and messed up this world is, we need to allow ourselves to be passionate about things and find things that we can purely enjoy.
That last one, with the acapella of Favourite Things? I actually just froze in what I was doing, mid-sentence in a writing project, and sat there dumbfounded. Absolute shivers, I need to look that guy up now, holy shit.
It makes me happy that Ella Watkins is finally being noticed after years of hilarious content I love the cooking with Ella series on her RU-vid channel
Pilots also wait about 90 seconds after the bing bong to say a single word. “Ah, there I’ve gotten their attention. Now to wait as their ears boot up.”
I went down to the comments as Jack started his outro and then went back up because I remembered "Oh yeah I gotta leave a like on this". To my surprise, it was already liked. So now I'm subconciously liking his videos. That's some next level viewer activation.
I can definitely relate. Sometimes my mother just randomly has to say, your talking in your awful british accent again, or why are you talking southern 💀
I also like to imitate voices, sounds and accents and that "shifting" or (as called by Jake Peralta) "worping" is so real and annoying sometimes, when you're trying your best Bonus: as a Portuguese, hearing Jack say "SIM" is delightfully entertaining 🙃
I love how in the first few Tiktok videos Jack was against Tiktok and now he's like, "Can You Believe This App Is Free!" Love the content. Thanks for everything.
