@Pampi Nathan he didn't play Innervate first, so when kael set his spells to 1, he didn't have the mana to play a spell (including the innervate that would have given him 1 mana)

It's actually a stroke of Luck that he didn't cast Survival in the last clip, as it would buff the opponent's deck. The opponent would then deal with the current board with Plague of Death. The best play would be to innervate ironbark ironbark, in that order, getting rid of all three cards.

@@Shoetoe2000 Well, I'm pretty much the fellow who Conjurer's Callings an opponent's 2-drop to get a doomsayer to prevent lethal. It'll take some time and chess to notice everything.

It's definitely better to play Innervate -> Nature Studies, then either discover Innervate/Lightning Bloom and proceed to play Crystal Power -> Innervate/Bloom -> Ironbark -> Ironbark, or discover the worst card for your opponent and play Crystal Power -> Ironbark -> Ironbark (The discount from Nature Studies makes every spell except for the discovered one cost (0) when Kael'Thas discounts them; The discovered one for some reason DOES cost (1) ) In any case, that wastes Crystal Power and Nature Studies, and potentially also the card Nature Studies generated.

@@Count.Saruman Your response makes no sense to me: The three spells that Nature Studies generates are random. In particular, they don't depend on who generates them. What does depend on who plays the card, is whether the best or the worst of the three spells ends up in your opponent's hand. Your plan was to get rid of the 3 0-cost spells. My plan gets rid of the 2 1-cost spells as well, while being the one to pick for Nature Studies and potentially wasting the card it generates too, which is strictly better. Even if you don't want to play Nature Studies, you can play Innervate -> Ironbark -> Crystal Power -> Ironbark to waste Crystal Power. You could also play Exotic Mountseller instead of Kael'Thas, then play Innervate -> Ironbark -> Ironbark -> Nature Studies -> either the spell from Nature Studies or Crystal Power (or both if you found a 0-cost spell with Nature Studies, for which there are at least 5 options with Moonfire, Bloom, Innervate, Ironbark and Bogbeam), as the Kael'Thas is a lot less threatening with most of the spells gone than the Mountseller is, imo, but that line is more of a gamble.

@@Count.Saruman Yeah, that makes no sense. Of course, in theory, it's possible that you only get god-like options from the Nature Studies and your opponent would have gotten garbage. But the fact that you can choose the worst option and your opponent always picks the best option gives you a clear advantage on average. And as the other guy said, there's even a possibility that you can to play the generated card yourself. If you're someone who takes some time and chess to notice everything, you should see the advantage you get on average.

@@Athanatov he had shadow word ruin. Board would be empty and druid would have buffed minion in his hand and deck and have cabal on his board with 24 HP. I see this as an absolute win for druid.

I mean even if he innervated as his second spell which would allow him to cast survival, he would still be buffing the enemies deck.

@@brentje9759 That's why you don't cast Survival in this situation and simply get rid of Ironbark, Innervate and second Ironbark (in that order). He could've done that, but he messed up the order anyway.

@@brentje9759 I think that probably would have been fine. It looks like the enemy didn't have that much of a deck left, and the odds of the druid deck being able to deal with a 7/6, 5/7, and 9/14 taunt is probably really low assuming the fact he is running the version of the deck I believe the druid is running. The druid would have a +4/+4 mount seller in hand but that is really slow and probably wouldn't win him the game. Either way he messed up what he was trying to do, but I think overall it was probably a good thing regardless of playing survival or not. I would save overall it would have probably of been better to be able to play it but I guess we will never know so it is pretty hard to say.

It was a good play, but not the ideal. It wpuld have buffed the opponent's deck, with the opponent destroying the board with the lended Plague. The best play would be innervate ironbark ironbark in that order, getting rid of all three.

@@exploregamer6738 I feel like it makes more sense to cast, but unless there are exceptions to the rule, anything drawn like that is still considered a card, so you need a slot... think I saw it in a competitive match where one of the bombs was burnt in a critical moment; and it's a viable strategy for dealing with bombs to intentionally burn cards... it is possible to track over them with the hunter card tracking, so just more evidence it's considered just another card, until it isn't...
