Their win streak was crazy. Only had one star in Tmac. Other guys were role players. Yao Ming was hurt. Even more incredible than Miami's in my opinion since they are a super team. Not taking anything away from Miami though.
You know, I thought the same thing over the years that Tracy mentioned. I don't think Charles or sports analysts, in general, actually watch the entire game live as it plays out, I think they catch the highlights and then talk about the end result as if they can accurately diagnose what went on.
Thats what I was saying the other day. People dont know whats its like to be down there playing basketball all the time. Just because their team isnt winning doesnt mean they aren't professional.
Where were you? Didnt you see him play hurt the entire playoffs, he got rookie teamates, forced game 6 without his starting PG, led his team with a Yaoless Rockets. What else do you want from the guy?? He turned Alston to play like an all-star last season.

@justinviggz yeah, its not really his age that matters, or his will, its the injuries, and its not likely he will surpass Barkley coming off the bench in detroit, his best days are behind him, face it. He could of been an all time great, but injuries got in the way.
liked the 2008-2009 team with artest lowry wafer more than the 08 team..think they could of won it all if healthy ...t mac yao artest battier brooks scola landry lowry wafer hayes..they were 2 deep at every position and took la the eventual champs to 7 without yao for 4 games and without t mac all series their leading scorer...they were hurt both seasons so injuries ruined 07-09 but I think the 08 team could of made the finals to be sure if only to lose in 6 to the Celtics anyways...

i love how charles always has a vendetta against the rockets...and they always make him eat poo. (ie: yao ming rookie year vs. lakers) chuck is just upset cause he came to houston and didn't do anything. he doesn't like to see them succeed now. i love when barkley makes comments about tracy not making it to finals in his career. (charles knows a thing or two about never going anywhere in the playoffs)
What does choking means anyway?? Not performing in 4th, but was still able to scored 30 points, dish out a near triple double while being the ball handler the entire game, creating shots for his teamates, drawing double teams, shaking Kirilenko, Giricek, some other guy i forgot the name?? I dont think his analysis is very accurate...tho i do like his humor.

And i love how you compared Charles and Tracy's stats right there from random ass years the fact of the matter is, Barkley's CAREER stats, which are the only ones that really matter to be honest, will be higher than tracys when it's all said and done. And one thing people seem to forget, Jordan played predominately on the East Coast. So he never got to play H-Town more than twice a year. unless they happened to meet in the finals. Which never happened anyway. We'll never know if Jordan "would have" torched the Rockets, but we know he was able to torch Utah. And now you rely on the same lame PF and PG position again, to try, (and ultimately fail) to take you to the glory days. The Bulls suck, so do Utah, and H-town is on the rise again.
i wouldnt call a duo that won no rings better than a duo that won 3. besides, kobe and shaq are totally diff players in totally different roles sg-C is much more diff than a pg-pf combo. but ya i would call kobe, a guy who will come down as the 2nd best player ever and shaq, a dominant centre with 4 rings better than stockton and malone anyday. i would take shaq, kobe in their prime over stockton-malone any day of the week.
barkley is the reason the rockets can't get back elite...funny that he call somebody a ball stopper and take tough fade aways...look at barley on the rockets and see what he does
