This is humour , you either love it or hate it. Think Borat , the old flying high movies . At the end of the day he entertains the crowd. A DJ he is not. Yet somehow this guy is getting paid top $$$ to play at some big festivals over and over again. And at the end of the day I bet he is probably the one most people remember from the show, simply because of his antics and not his music.

He is selecting a playlist based on crowd-reading and his style, and the songs are mixed and dropped at the right times, that's pretty much DJing. You might be confusing that with being a producer - someone who creates new tracks. Thing is, he does that, too. He is being paid because he knows how to entertain a crowd as a festival DJ.

Salvatore Ganacci is One of the best DJs. He plays , he mixes , I mean he works on the decks and mixer while playing. But there are a lot of DJs even some of them play at Tomorrowland , they don't do anything just play the 1 hour pre-made / pre-recorded set.
