The funny thing is that these people get stereotyped as being stupid because of the more outlandish examples (city folks commit the vast majority of violent crimes, but we don't stereotype them as criminals), but in my experience, they're much smarter overall and have a much wider field of practical knowledge. City folks can't change a tire with a 4 year mechanical engineering degree, but the country folks they call dumb can build engines from scratch, understanding all of the sophisticated nuances of the engineering through nothing but observation. They also have a hell of a lot more fun. I've spent a lot of time with both, and I much prefer the country folks.
