Of course we all (quite rightly) adore Claude Rains, but let's also put in a good word for May Robson, a delightful and highly skilled character actress. She always put so much energy, conviction, and detail into even the smallest role. They both obviously enjoyed playing this scene together very much. :-)

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this is from Four Wives? The series is charming. I wish we hadn’t lost the interest in simple charming stories. Here’s to two incredible talents: Claude and May.
