Funny VCR Tracking issue (SLP Mode)

A Tutorial is kind of out of my hands right now, but I can give you some tips on how to. First and most obvious, VCR, VHS you want to transfer, output cables. When it comes to transfer, there are many things you can use such as the Dazzle DVC-100, Easycaps, Elgato's composite capture device. Some other ways is if you have an HDMI capture device you can connect a composite to HDMI converter to the capture device, this may overscan a bit but it should be fine. I personally use the Dazzle DVC-100, however I'm thinking about getting the Elgato composite soon, The Dazzle is an older capture device so drivers will need to be installed by a search on the internet, be careful while searching however, I also have to deinterlace it because the dazzle records in interlace scan so I use virtualdub. The Easycap is least recommended since the quality is not that good. once everything is figured out, just start transferring, if you need more info try searching up on the internet as I'm not all that good on tips... hopefully this can be helpful enough though.

@@pacthesir Thank you so much, I use the Elgato but if you don't use a time base corrector, Elgato is really bad at capturing the VCR output.

No, this is not generation loss, this is a problem with the VCR's tracking with SLP mode, I don't even know how to do generation loss.

Absolutely not Generation Loss This is an issue with the hardware (one as clearing said by op intentionally not setting his tracking correct), and second as the video is spontaneously spasming in and out. Generation loss affects the whole picture.

@@waningbloom The tape is fine actually, I can't set the tracking manually, it is supposed to auto track but it won't so this ends up happening

@@pacthesir I know the tape is fine! I was referring to the VCR. Like you said, the auto tracking seemed kinda funky
