It didn't cut after a year, but I don't think they're showing new episodes a lot. But when they showed a close-up on Louie's old chair and it was labeled Louie's chair as a tribute to him, I knew it had to be filmed in 2022 or later because that's when he passed away.
To be honest with you I really miss Hollywood Squares because that show was far more exciting. The contestants actually won bigger prizes such as cars and trips.
So so sad that Louie passed away. I loved him because most of the questions he would get would all revolve around food. Whatever came out of his mouth was funny!!
I know he was so funny. One of my favorite moments was when he got a question about sponge cake being a form of birth control, he responded “So that’s why I’ve never been pregnant” it was so funny!!!
not to take money away from The Genius, but if you were to switch the theme song to something by Laurie Berkner you'd probably double your returns. and then you roar.
Only 5 grand? Even Wheel of Fortune gives away at least 10. Hell, even Jeopardy gives 2 grand to the losers. Might want to up it to something reasonable like 15,000. Probably spent the majority of their prize money on licensing Happy for their theme song.
@@matthartleyjr9180 The point, which went over your head is that Jeopardy gives almost the same amount of money they win here to the losers of the game. The IRS can take up to 37 percent of winnings, so that's little more than 3 grand after tax, which in some states is barely a months rent. Upping it to 15k lets them go home with just under 10 grand, and might actually get people wanting to try out for the show. 5 grand is why even bother money.
@Cliff Moore Still, I've seen start up shows with more budget than this. With the cast that they have there isn't any reason that 10 grand should be out of reason.
Cheapest show on tv. Really hard to win the $5000. They obviously give all the money to the stars. It's a Byron Allen production. Why so cheap Byron? They're really picky on their contestants too. Most of them don't need the money.
Also, I noticed that almost every single contestant that ever appeared on this show looks like they could be models, or actors/actresses themselves. Never are less-than-attractive contestants allowed to be in the show
