She is one of the best female vocalists of our time, in my opinion. The range of options she has when performing is truly something.

Well, it says "Live performance" in the title, and I think it would be a little foolish of her and her team to lie about it... 🤷🏻‍♂

⁠@@JohanBesterYourVocalCoachI’ve heard in one interview after she did her online live performance where she did two or three live takes of each song that she performed. Perhaps that was why you heard some kind of “post” stuff going on in the video.

@@dilabakri Well, there is heavy post-processing on it (reverb and pitch correction) which makes it sound "less live" and is likely why some people have said it. And off course, there is not one binding definition of live. If you are purist and the pitch correction is manually done, then this probably does not meet your expectation of a live performance.

@@JohnnyByeYmIt’s the pitch correction for me that makes it not “live.” And I don’t even mind because it doesn’t sound crazy & overdone, like heavy handed autotune sounds. But I do not take this to be a purely live performance, just my opinion

@Johan I like the way you analyze,😀 Faouzia is very talented and has a unique voice. She is currently in a competition in China called Singer 2024, I think you are familiar with this program because Dimash was competing there in 2017. And I've seen that you've made reactions to that TV show. I hope you can react to some of her presentations, I recommend Desert Rose 😀.

I love this song. It feels like such a long time ago that we were watching this video for the first time and being blown away. But it was only a few months ago, lol. Since then she has been in a competition(“ The singer”) where her performance ability on stage has been getting better and better, as well as her arrangements. Very proud of her.

I find it intersting that you commented on the warmth and resonance of her low notes. I also think this and her timbre is what really sets her apart from many other singers. Most people probably focus on the striking high pitch belts (whcih she does perfectly as well of course).

As others have mentioned, she's currently in China competing in the Singer 2024 series. They just finished Round 8 so there are 8 live performances already with 12 total planned. So far, she's the only artist who has remained in the top 3 each week. The songs so far were Crazy, Set Fire to the Rain, Desert Rose, Paparazzi, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Cry Me a River, Love on the Brain and Devil From Heaven (Mandarin).
