@@Jaffabite It was mosly like 1 year of silence, but it's voice was crackling some times when I got it :') I'm planning on getting a furby boom but I don't think they sell them anymore...
@@Jaffabite it does and there is a happy almost 3years old girl here with it. She has a cousin that has a broken one and in order to leave the pacifier she's got a furby from the fairy lol
@@Jaffabite hey jaffa I just want to know where you get those hot metal thing to put the wire on the speaker I have no idea what they call those do you know (hope u understand tho)
Hi thanks for your video , ive bought a pair of pokadot Furby Boom, one was mute and the other was yelling out wakey wakey eggs and cakey, so i bought a broken furby as an organ donner
@@Jaffabite hey thanks! Yeah I rescued a furby from a yard sale in the rain. He works completely fine and looks it too it’s just his voice box as good as it is to have him muted haha I still wanna try and fix him, this video is really helpful tho thank you!
@@Jaffabite can you please tell me how you put the Clips in the ears because every time I turn mine on I replace the motor and every time I turn it on the ears don't work and if I push the ears forward they stay forward and they get stuck can you please help me?
I have one of the OG furby my child self forgot to take the batteries out I cleaned the corrosion off and got it moving but it's got no sound. I'm going to start taking it apart in a couple of days might need a good cleaning
I am too scared to do it 😭😭😭 Edit: i did it! My dad heleped me the furby speaks okay but my dad did not folow all your rules and did it a little difrent. He said he opened a while ago. He did not need to do all the steps from getung the fur out. I got a speaker from a baby alive and yeah. My dad did not pit the white thing from the speaker anymore because he said he could not. Puting a ball at the speaker did not work but yeah. The fruby does not talk the best but i think it is from the bateries Anyways thanks! You were the best tutorial on this thing!
i think that if you have one furby with a broken spaker and another fully broken furby but it has a good speaker, that you could take both of the speakers and swap them instead of buying a new speaker
Excuse me can you help me my furby is fix but the ears won't move just the ears how can i fix that the other ear is free move that you can wobble it the other one is stock have suggestions
I haven't had one with ear problems before I'm afraid. If you use these steps to expose the inside then try and see the mechanics of them. If there is a broken part you could look at buying a faulty furby and attempting an ear transplant.
Hello dont know if you can help my furby wont stay on chnnge the batterys and nothing has happen tryied to rest allso when It does come on some times does not open its eyes then switch off
I have a 1998 furby that won't talk at all will any speaker of the 1998 furbys work too I bought the furby at my local charity shop that I volunteer at
I'm not too sure about the 1998 version. The Furby Boom generation and Connect ones appear very similar in design and parts used so there is a chance the 98 version is too. These speakers do tend to go in the same way so if you are able to access it then the repair demonstrated should repair it.
Not that I'm aware of. I did a quick search for this when I repaired this but I don't think they are manufactured. Is the ball bearing solution suitable?
I got a black furby few days ago, i was overfeeding it when hes in his evil personality and its voice glitches out and its eyes shut off, on, off over and over and over and when his eyes are black it makes a quiet beeping sound and i took the batteries out to let his voicebox rest. This creeped me out so i watched this but my mom does not allow me to skin my furby.
I'm not aware of a replacement but as long as it's still connected to the wire even then if it's ripped a bit it should still work. It's a sensor for feeling when you touch the Furby. Failing that you could buy a faulty Furby and complete a transplant of that part 😁
@@Jaffabite also I want to ask again if I could patch the ripped part with some sort of aluminum tape? Does this make it work or do I need to transplant it from another furby?
When my Furby turns on it doesn't move and it plays distorted soundtracks I don't know what happened to it the only thing that works right are the eyes😢
Hi I’ve got hold of a boxed firby boom and that has no speaker sound so this will be a great help and also the eyes are only white and i wonder if you got any tips to get the eyes working again. Thanks
I haven't experienced the eye issue so I'm afraid I can't help with that although once you have dismantled to sort the speaker issues out I would suggest having a look around it to see if the eye problem is obvious (loose wire or something). Good luck
My 2012 Furby and my Furby Boom have both the same problem (motor problem) Is there more than just one way to fix the dc motor? (Yeah I know the video don't talk about the dc motor but I don't know how to say that because I'm french and my english is pretty bad lol) By the way this video is really helpful, my sister's Furby Boom has a glitchy voice so I think I will do that haha, thanks!
Salut mon ami 🇫🇷. The motor is really difficult to replace and you need the same one which I don't think is really sold anywhere. Hopefully getting the talking repaired will at least help improve it. Au revoir.
I bought a 2005 furby from a thrift shop for $10, one of the rarer beige ones with pink hair. I've put batteries in him and reset him, his eyes and ears move; but he can't open his mouth and/or talk. He looks so depressed.
If you're lucky then maybe a wire has come loose inside but worse case will be one of the movable parts having worn out (cog/motor). Maybe try searching up some other Furby repair videos or looking for a Furby counselling service 😆.
I have a Question do u have a 2005 furby mine furby from 2005 can’t talk can u maybe make a video how to fix the furbys speaker?.. that would be great 😊
I don't have that version I'm afraid but I can't help thinking that the problem wouldn't be too different. If you were able to access it, again if it wasn't too disimilar, then you could always try this repair on it.
I don't know of anywhere that sells the official speaker. You'll have to find a similar one from something else. Also check out my other Furby Fix video as that may be a more suitable repair for you.
It may need the repair of replacing the speaker. It's more of a pain and you have to source the speaker but that is what I would suggest if the first option didn't work.
Carefully look at that part in the video when it is pulled out and you will see that if you use a similar sized screwdriver like I did and put a little pressure on it then it will enable you to gently pull the part out. Good luck
I have two tired 1998 furrbies and neither one seems right. I feel bad for them. But hey how long is the life span of one? They still kinda talk to one another and sleep a lot like a kitten. Have one more but he or she is lost in a closet. Hell nowadays he might be changing or hasn't come out yet. I'm going to try and figure out what is going on with them. It's been what? 1998-2024... That's like what 27 yrs? My math sucks
The problem is that they have mechanical moving parts which wear out and they talk alot which wears out the speaker as that too is a moving part. If one does stop talking then my Furby repair video should be able to help as the designs across the models are relatively similar.
If it no longer works at all I would suggest trying new batteries just in case that's the problem. If that doesn't work then I would suggest going through the video again to take it apart and look out for any wires that you may have accidentally pulled out of place especially the ones to the battery connections, or wires which have been trapped inbetween the plastic, . Good luck
@@Jaffabite I have put fresh batteries in it I have hit the reset button and it sometimes goes back to normal but it mixes up after a few minutes does hazbro have a email I can contact
That will be different to open than this Furby Boom but if you manage to open it then I suspect a wire may have become disconnected, as it has just stopped working. If not try the same fix as detailed within this video.
You might have been using trash batteries, or maybe a wire is out of place. Definitely try batteries that you know are 100% charged and compatible with your Furby. It would suck to skin your Furby and just have a battery issue.
Hey thanks for watching and for your comment. I would first suggest you check with your parent/guardian and take their advice. This is of course only meaning about the first method of repairing and NOT the soldering iron - stay clear of that. It then depends on if you feel like you can do it. Me personally as a kid was always taking toys apart and putting them back together....well most of the time! Good luck if you do attempt it 😎
