Hi Karen, thanks for your comment 🙌🏻 I mostly use the Blue Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 All Surfaces primer. I love it because it is water base. Less odors and lower on VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) It is also costs effective for me. I've not worked with the red label from Zinsser really, only the red label spray cans when I needed a complete water proofing coat on a project that was MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) an engineered material, so that the MDF don't expand when I painted it with a water based paint. The red label is not water based. It is a Shellac based primer, Shallac based primers are made up of resin acids, esters with glycerol and ethanol and is great to seal extremely tough stains, water marks, oils or nicotine on furniture before you paint. So it all depends on preference and what the project calls for. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for watching ✨🌺✨
