Hi! I tried doing this but it's not working. I got my son involved (he took a class with 3D printing) and he couldn't get the text to "click" to the cutter. What am I doing wrong? I noticed this video is 3 years old. Is there a new way to do it?
Do you have any tutorials on how to make cutters that have an imprint? But where the imprint is not a separate piece it actually connects to the inner walls?
Andreia Merlen hi there, I don’t know about the “right” printer because there are so many choices. I have an Ender 3 Pro and a CR6 SE, I lean toward my CR6 SE because it’s so easy to use and has auto leveling. I normally use Cura to slice but will be trying Prusa this weekend. Good Luck!!
Hi there, Bella is for personal use and you can find the details here: apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=6446193388769396495&appLang=en&os=Win64 It is $99. Thanks for asking!
Hi Jen, You actually don’t need our products at all to put words on the cutter wall. This capability is built in to Fusion 360 which is why we love it so much. You would need our add-in to quickly create the cutter.
@@samscookiecompany ahh I see.. thank you for your quick reply! I just started using our 3D printer for cookie cutters and have been using CookieCad. I was doing some quick research on how to create the wall labels and came across this video. I'll check out some more of your videos!
When you make cutters all the time, having a tool that creates the 3 offsets, extrudes them and then fillets the handle edges can save you an incredible amount of time. Also, having the ability to size the cutter can save you even more time when you need to create multiple sizes. Another factor that people don’t consider is that Fusion 360 can sometimes fail to offset, extrude and/or fillet. The Add-in will try small size variations that most of the time make the operation successful.
@@aopdenbosch I make high detail stamp cookie cutters and have used fusion for years. Where I agree it would make it easier in some areas. $100 is insane.
