Great Job! For users new to anything CNC, your videos are very helpful. Most, even Langmuir, tends to gloss over the details. Would love to see more on Fusion and Fire Control. Thanks again.
This is a good tutorial on importing a drawing and converting it to a Fusion 360 drawing and generating a cut path from that. Tip: When you switch to manufacture mode, click on the fabrication title on the menu bar, then click on setup to establish the setup file. When you set up the 2D cutting, I prefer to do a separate file for inside cuts and outside cuts. This allows you to set the starting point as inside the cut for holes and out side the cut for the outside edge. It's not as complicated as it sounds because you can use the duplicate function on the drop down menu to copy the first cut file to the second. Then change the selected edges to cut from the inner holes to the outer edge and change the starting points from inside to outside. measurement in Fusion 360 by clicking on you name in the upper right corner and selecting preferences from the drop down menu. Click on Default Units and change both the Design and Manufacture units to what you like, click apply and they will always be the same. Happy cutting!
Hey man, I'm brand new to not only CNC but to computers also. You made this so easy and I can't believe I can do the Silhouettes quickly. Thank you so much for this video. I love your other videos too on how to do different things with the pro machine. God bless and keep up the good work.
I don't comment to much on RU-vid , but I'm new to designing software and about to buy a lagmuir xr. This one how to video is absolutely amazing brought me step by step how to create an item to cut. Could not build a tool path yet as I have no downloaded tool from langmuir. Fantastic job ill be back when I get my table!!!
Dude. I love your videos. So clear and straightforward. Helpful and useful. One suggestion, though, (maybe you've already fixed that in future videos) please bump your volume up when you produce. I have to crank it up to a higher level to hear, and the ads come blasting in at 10x as loud.
@@amcustomfab Another thought is to do a fresh version of this with the latest versions of InkScape and F360, as their menus have changed. And the previously mentioned sound level boost.
That was the best and the simplest video on fusion 360 I have ever watched. All other videos go into too much detail that take you down a rabbit hole. They also think everybody is an expert on fusion. Which means they can leave out Important steps. Which leaves you lost it's all about the simple details. That you cover very well.
Thank you I really appreciate it let me know if there's any other functions that would be helpful for me to make a video about relating to writing a toolpath for langmuir systems
@amcustomfab I realize this is an old video but a tutorial on how to lay simple straight open lines as cut paths would be helpful. I'm just learning all the software and it took a while to figure out that kind of cut. Thanks for the vid
@amcustomfab every time I open and try to bring svg into fusion 360 it's just blank where you size and move around. It shows an error that reads the selected file contains no info or some unsupported info. Any help on what I'm doing wrong
Well, I am the guy who needs to know how to add my machine to Fusion 360. I have the Langmuir Crossfire with Razerweld 45 machine. I can’t seem to find an easy way to do the setup, that is where I had to stop when following your video, which is fantastic for a newbie like me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Good tutorial but dude, you have gotta crank up the volume. I had to turn things up so high just to hear what you were saying that I almost took out speakers when the video switched to an ad.
@@amcustomfab No Problem, we will call it constructive criticism. I'm drooling over the Langmuir CNC Plasma so watching lots of videos before I pull the trigger on one for my shop.
You have a link to the Langmuir tool video? I’ve been looking through their videos but they’re all out of order and can’t find it. I’m running the pro if that matters since I’ll be using fire control if that’s even needed anymore.
Thanks your video was very helpful, I would like to make fire pit for my back yard approximately 16x36 ,I would like add a silhouette of a log cabin with a few pine trees and a few bears and deer or wolves along with our family name .how do I copy and paste these pictures on the sketch. Thanks so much for your help.. I’m still just learning
@@amcustomfab my letter distance is .177 and my lead- in distance (in linking) is .05 and still it only cuts the outside of bottle opener not even the opener part
I was able to follow your instructions step by step and everything worked. I was able to start my cut. So thank you for that! I’m getting a pierce height and torch height to high error you wouldn’t happen to have a resolution for that would you?
I would check a couple things make sure that your leads are not getting too tight like have good slack between the torch and the boom that holds the leads off the table. Also double check your grounds and make sure that you're consumables in the torch are not screwed in too tight specifically the cone
Wish you would do one on fire control and sheet an thru fusion..and I just got my pro to the point of jogging and it seems like at 300inpermin it's faulting.do I just need to break in or is my bearing to tight?
Question: after I made my spline fit points and put them to "fixed" my line was blue and the sketch looked complete. How do you get your sketch to go into the black line? I tried to extrude but it wouldn't, I am assuming because it is still in that blue line mode?
Also I was wondering , currently do u have to do anything different when it comes to crossfire , I have a pro and so does the only cut file it read CPS( I think that’s what it’s called) file? And when u go to the post button , does that right then and there turn the file into a cut file?
Ok so langmuir is just a part with in fusion just like the software sheetcam? Sheet cam just allows u to create cut paths, tool settings and a software gcode can read.
