Watch how Phil B from NexGen utilizes component pattern to speed up part programing anytime you are running duplicates of the same part. The great thing about this tool is it works for both 3 axis machining of a bar to nesting with full 5 axis.

Next week maybe I should be Brown Phil?

Informative, helpful. You asked what people want to see: I'd like to see an hour long video of a complex part that's programmed with 5 axis simultaneous toolpathing.

Jon, Do you have a part you would like us to use?

@@NexGenCAM Nope, I don't. Thanks for asking! Before I retired, I did mostly ITAR work so that would not of helped either. A part using most of Fusion 360 5 axis simultaneous toolpaths would be great. I've seen the shorter all Steep and Shallow Autodesk one. Don't feel that represents real world programming.

Primary reason I avoid this, although I have used it several times, how would you use if for putting tool checks between components? I get nervous machining 24 parts with tool break checks at the end of all 24 parts.

Hello Richard, So if your Post supports it you can add a Manual NC "Tool Break Control" To trigger a cycle after each part.

@@NexGenCAM I use manual NC often but not in Component Pattern as it will start the machining from the tool setter and not the next part as it needs the new coordinates for the next part. If I apply my manual NC it only sets it at the end of the cycle of all 24 parts and it posts all 24 tool checks at the same time.
