These transitions are pretty clean, like the car driving when hermes was about to jump into the taxi flying up the ramp, then Professor pulling the level to leila and fry falling down a pit, very clean
Or the camera panning over from the Professor when Fry, Bender, and Leila are coming through the door, but instead the Professor comes through the door on the next clip.
@@Pikminiman That's also a great one. It really does make it sound like that's the explanation the Robot Elder is giving Fry for how they take care of themselves.
@@pearkore6821 that's just one of the reasons I personally find it funny. Lol. I think this was meant to be "same name humor" but, knowing the genius writing of the show, it could have more than one reason.
@@gacha_jacob1510 I have no idea how much a gallon of gas costs in the US. Actually, I don't even know how much gas is a gallon, we use the metric system in my country lol.
What I love about Futurama and early Simpsons is that they’re episodes are filled to the brim with jokes. There are the big laughs but there are also several little jokes that could of easily not been there but were because of how dedicated the writers were. A good example of this is when Fry and Leela are falling and when they land she asks him “Are you alright” and he says “Oh yeah” and then the lights come on and he’s in an painful position. They didn’t need to put a joke in that scene but they did and that’s what makes the writing so special
For sure. And even when you're not laughing at the jokes, you're still being charmed by them. They maintain the show's enjoyable atmosphere so that even if you're not always laughing, you're still having a good time. There's almost never a dry moment that leaves you thinking that maybe the episode might've been better without that scene.
I think that comes from having writers who actually read books. That might sound obvious, but it really shows in the verbal dexterity of the scripts from the original Fox run -- the writers know so well how to fit as much substance as possible into the runtime without weighing it down.
@@christopher.saint.christopher Basic craftsmanship helps as well. Real Simpsons had a very simple rule: If a joke ever stopped being funny, they would replace it with something else better. This is why so dang much of it is timeless. In the Zombie Simpsons Movie, in the commentary, the current showrunner and the man 100% to blame for what's happened to the show Al Jean remarked "if Homer is on a roof, he must fall off of the roof." Which is pure anathema to the ethics and guidelines the writers used to use. Stale and predictable isn't fun, interesting, emotional or funny.
Leila walked right into that one. Kids may not be as smart as adults when it comes to general knowledge and intelligence, but one should never underestimate their power to burn.
"One year later, i got beat up at a Neil Diamond concert, by a guy named Scrunchie." So many of these jokes still hit today. I loved older Futurama episodes.
I'm 17, I used to show my dad these little monthly videos when they came out because we both enjoyed futurama :) he died in late March but it was nice to watch one of these again
@@annieschmitz1691 GOTO is a programming expression to jump to a specific line of code, primarily used in assembly programming. GOTO 10 is also a programming language that only uses GOTO statements and the beginning of the code execution starts on line 10. So he is pretty much asking him if he has an extra statement to return to the beginning of his programming. Because he seems to be in a logic loop of knocking on the door.
I hope Marianne stays with Zoidberg, honestly he's such a lovable character and I'd love to at least see mention of them still together. The show could use a paradigm shift with coming back, like keeping Fry and Leela together.
6:05 “There are no children here” Actually, there almost were as Cubert and Dwight where put among the many cameos in the crow, however they removed them when they realized it contradicted Morbo’s line.
Uh yes, Fry just becomes his own grandpa and questions that it might change history. And Zoidberg with Bender being examined is clearly a no-issue, right?
Although what I don’t understand is didn’t Fry’s dad grew up being raised by Inos, so how does that mean by killing Inos, he changed his father’s childhood too?
I 100% in love with this much effort they always made me and my family happy so I decided to put it on the TV and my whole family was laughing and enjoying it
Wii Dub, I love the comp vids. I have seen futurama start to finish at least 20 times and I watch these because of how funny it is. These monthly bits are great to remind me how much I love it

I feel like in a way, we all have a little bit of Bender inside of us. Even if, unlike Bender, we have the self control to keep that side of us on the inside.
