It is absolutely therapeutic to see that not only is Zapp finally facing chargers for his numerous crimes throughout the series, but it's KIFF of all people, his personal punching bag, who's throwing the book at him. Almost brings a tear to my eye.

This shows that the events of this episode are most likely caused by Zapp Brannigan’s treatment of Kif as apparently Zapp did something extremely nasty to Kif to the point where he went too far and it caused Kif to get fed up with being treated like a doormat. Something like this was bound to happen since the moment Kif became a father to 3 children

(Depends on how you interpret it, but the movies are like a season 5, especially when they were split up for TV - Season 6 and 7 were the Comedy Central run technically, each summer airing half the season. That's how the episodes were ordered originally anyways. Hulu might have their own weird methodology)

Actually it's the next line that makes it classic "It was a different time!" "It was yesterday!" "So you admit it!" I love that Zapp thinks that makes it okay is what makes that really funny.

It's a little sad that Zapp and Fry's voices sound noticeably different now that Billy West is older. He's doing an amazing job still, but it sounds a bit strained sometimes doing younger voices. The voice change does work with the professor, of course. I don't mean this in the way that he's doing a bad job or anything. It just feels sad in the same way hearing Julie Kavner as Marge in recent years is hard to listen to because she's been doing that voice for so long. Now that she's older, her voice sounds strained because Fox won't let the show end.

Wait hold up, "he insisted on telling me fantasies about my wife". Amy is Kiff's wife? Amy and Kiff got earth married at some point? When was this?!?!?! I know that they became far fon something in "the beast with a billion backs", but considering they have broken up a handful of times since, during one of which Amy made plans to marry Bender, i do not think it was meant to be the same type of union.

I always thought Zapp was funny because he was an idiot lol. I miss the jokiness and fun of the past seasons. I don't think this is as terrible as recent reboots of old shows, but the writing is similar. Way too on the nose and serious. No attempt to satirize modern society at all, but instead, just seeming to display and go along with it in like a documentary.
