@@mayurisaxena1359 I really don't know but i guess it depends. My degree isn't exactly bioinformatics, its basically Biology but the lab it self is bioinformatic. So, all the coding, statistics and machine learning algorethims I will study on my own. This will allow me to work in bioinformatic jobs but it depends where and what is the job. Anyway.. you can say that bioinformatics is the real (and perhaps only) good money in Biology field.

@@codelucky Not really, you have to remember that finding a job isn't really about the degree, it depends on what you know, your skills and your capabilities. Ph.d would be nice, its true.. but it surly isn't the golden path to the industry. Focus on the skills that most companies look for like knowledge in statistics and python/R and become great at it.. then you will be just fine.

I'm currently studying bsc biotechnology (and yes I regret doing this to myself) I'm thinking of doing MCA since in India only IT sector jobs are easily available. And no one cares about biotech. It is fantastic video. But it is reality that in India there is no job of Bioinformatics in India even after passing Mtech in Bioinformatics from a good university and with high scoring and qualifying GAT. We are facing this problem since last three years to getting job in this stream.
