All exciting but I wish the Copper project was a little quicker than 10 years to build. Flowers is beautiful and starting to get super congested with homes too close together will they have more stores and restaurants like Northlake? Loved this video thank you!

I'm right there with you! I was super excited when they rolled out the project but now its hurry up and wait! Hopefully like Lance said, they will "pick up the pace" Johnston County definitely needs more on this side of town so many can stay local vs heading into Raleigh and beyond. Flowers is a beautiful area and they've done a great job designing all the communities so well! Unfortunately so many builders are building on smaller footprint lots now and I agree the congestion just in the last 6 yrs since I've been here is 😓 but it seems like everywhere you go its the same to some degree. I'm not sure what stores with be here but I can imagine it'll be some great ones like North Hills and Fenton. Thank you so much for watching, I'm happy you loved it!

They are planning to extend nc 42 road i think copper district would start once the extension is done😢

My sister only spent $279,000 for her house 🏠 in June 2019 before the pandemic 😷 and now it is worth $425,000 post pandemic.

Yep the increase for many people out here are even greater than that. Problem is if you sell prices are now higher everywhere. And interest rates are more than double so it's not like you can gain any profits. Clayton is still struggling big time with retail and restaurants options. We've been here 12 years and easily can attest to that. We still have to drive 25-50 minutes every weekend if we want a nice dinner. Of course someone will say "yeah but did you try so and so downtown" blah, blah, blah. There is nothing good yet which is beyond frustrating. Many more promises of good stuff on the way but I'll believe it when i see it. The Flowers area makes inexplicably bad choices when it comes to restaurants. Highway 55, Taco Bell, Smithfield Chicken and recently some place that serves avocado toast...oh joy. The only quality retail here is the grocery stores. Harris Teeter and Publix are legit.

Hi there. Thanks for watching. Great question. It has its patches like a lot of other towns. Personally speaking and previously as a local resident in Clayton, we never felt unsafe. Two websites we found helpful are neighborhoodscout.com and spotcrime.com you can look up by the day/month and see what police have been called out for. If you look at violent crime stats show Clayton at 1.15 vs NC at 4.05 and Property crime at 12.6 vs NC at 20.64. That is one thing we found when we researched moving here to Raleigh NC and the surrounding towns, is on average property crime is much higher in more rural areas holistically.

Yes I think CA will always have a piece of my heart. I have a lot of good memories there. And as my hubby says how could you not miss it?! Especially since he grew up in San Diego! It was our home away from home. We mostly miss the weather, the food and of course our friends.
