Rimuru had let Raphael "auto-pilot" the body temporarily to answer a question but it turned out that it was not a question Raphael needed to answer and instead was just a simple question on what Rimuru planned to do now that he(they?) is (are?) a demon lord. That moment is in Season 2, you should watch the actual anime or read the manga of it if you don't understand. If you had done so then you'd probably understand this way better.
