I recently stumbled across this band and my oh my lord am I ever happy I did!

I think I'm falling in love with this band's sensibility. Every lyrics does tell something worthy to hear and makes you feel so greatly weak.

Future Islands is by far my favorite band of the new millennia. I've been a fan for 3 years and it is as astonishing to me now as it was when I first started listening. If you ever get the opportunity to see them live you should absolutely do so,as it is one of the best live shows that I have ever been to. I can't wait for them to come back to the NYC area so I may have to plan a road trip to see them next time they perform on the east coast.

This song can be played both during the birth and the death of someone. That's how powerful it is

I'm finally getting to see them in June for my Birthday. Heard this song today on the radio and tears just poured out of me. Couldn't be more relevant to my life currently and needing to raise myself up for once and loving me. ❤

This is the best band. Ever. Saw them live for the first time last night. I loved them before and then Sam came and hung out with us for half an hour before going on stage. Amazing man. Amazing music.

This band is great and the lead singer has his own style of voice its great!

I first heard of future islands when they was on jools holland here in the u.k then a month later they did Glastonbury and I have been a massive fan ever since and when they come back to the u.k I shall be first in que for a ticket

Samuel T. Herring is the best singer I've heard in a decade. Future Islands is one of those groups whom I , in a way, hope stay somewhat obscure. because I want to treasure them selfishly.

The first time my friend played me this band I said the singer sounds like a cross between Miss Piggy and Tom Waits. Ive grown to love them though.

That's exactly what i was thinking, I really like the song but the mixing (to me) is all wrong (again, to me). The best song i can think of to compare that's well mixed (to me) is Don't Say by Sleepy Jackson. Nevermind the song, I think if it was more mixed like that it would be amazing (in my opinion).

I've just come across this band and I can't decide if I like them or not because the songs themselves seem great if not for the horribly affected, pretentious vocals. I just checked interviews of the vocalist and he has a generic American accent so I honestly don't get why he insists on singing like a faux-English butler being exorcised. I'm not trying to be a dick, I find it genuinely frustrating.
