Another one of those guys that you look at and say, "that voice comes out of that guy?" I've heard people say they don't like his voice, but I love how unique it is. He doesn't sound like anyone else.

This song will always remind me of the 5 days I spent away from you in Oklahoma. You found this song and told me to listen to it, that it made you think of me and miss me. The first time I listened to it I cried. Its 6 months later and even though you chose a different path, away from me, I will always love you and think of you when I hear it. ❤ Update: We couldn't stay away from each other. We will celebrate our 4th year on 08/04/20. We saw Future Islands in concert together and still consider them to be one of "our bands". ♥️

His voice is mesmerising. My favourite band of recent years.

This is an underrated band. The lead singer is amazing and so are the lyrics of every song.

I used to have a very heavy chronic disease. Years on end I spent all my time in bed. This song became my theme song in 2017. When I listen to it, I still feel that despair and suffering. But most of all, thank you for the feeling of hope. After 7 years in bed, I am healthy again.

This band creates seriously beautiful stuff. I love how each song is a story, written by someone with a kind and gentle soul. Just wonderful!

This is a very powerful video for a lot of personal reasons. Sam was actually in leg braces for much of his young life. But one time he had to outrun a truck full of bullies and the leg braces broke off. From that point on, he was runnin'. Also played football at Alabama and started a successful shrimp boat fleet. Still loves to run.

These guys have that vibe like the Uncle everyone else thinks is uncool - but you know, you know, they are the coolest.

I notice that the major public that like Future Island are in 40's and as a girl with only 18 years I think it's a shame the youth don't appreciates more the gold songs that they made.

Where have I been? I have missed out on this. But now I have arrived. And my word, I'm not going anywhere. This is edgy brilliance.

the sound this band has is so addictive. for me its sort of nostalgic yet hopeful and those vibes are what music is all about for me.

I saw them in Barcelona 4 or 5 years ago and had never heard of them, my husband is a big fan, the energy and his voice throwing himself around and singing such amazing songs. Love them.

I was a teen in the 80's and I swear these guys time traveled from then to now in order to make their music, and have just been waiting for us all to catch up with them.

Phenomenal song, saw these guys when they played in Edmonton in 2018. Sam Herring is one of the best front men of all time!

"And what's a song without you, when every song I write is about you." Gets my heart every time. Future Islands got me through many a melancholy days. Started listening during "On the Water" and they are still one of my favorite bands.

Discovered these guys only recently whilst they supported Noel Gallagher near Manchester. I've been mesmerized ever since. How had I not heard of them.

Will always remember this as the soundtrack when me and my son Sam took the train from Bratislava to Stary Smokevic a few years ago and eventually we watched the band in Manchester in 2022 - good times!

Still hits in the feels doesn't it. It's why you've come back. 👋🏻 ❤️

Really like Future Islands, watched them for the first time on Jools Holland a couple a years ago and was memorized by Sam Herring and how he throws so much emotion into each song, seen a few interviews from him and he seems like a top geezer.
