King in black is a shit storyline. X of swords is trash, as are all the x books since wolverine and cyclops went gay...actually for years prior to that. I like your videos but the subject matter sucks (which isn't your fault). Please try a retro review, perhaps the original Secret Wars, Demon in a bottle, the Dark Phoenix saga or maybe even individual issues like the Uncanny X-men issue where Wolverine and Captain America team up in WW2 Madripoor. Those are quality stories...what you are covering now are not.

@@bootysnatcher4207 to be fair Cass can take Bruce out too, he only really could win against her using prep/tactics but Cass is the most skilled fighter in the entire family, but Dick should be around Bruce’s level, he won against him in the Nightwing run before Grayson. I think Jason/Bruce/Dick are both fairly close in fighting skills, I mean d King did rank him above Bruce even if his list was kinda off with the others.

To be frank, I liked the concept and story of the Next Batman run (even tho it was SOLD OUT the week it came out, I should have pre-ordered smh). First of all Tim's a pre-established character getting some attention instead of inventing a new one but he doesnt have a ton of back story to read or status quo to follow. 2nd, I feel like with Tim and Luke's parents being behind the Magistrate, Luke being law abiding and Tim being estranged, having a history of being rebellious and anti-authority I can understand him taking on a masked mantle. So you get the parental officials whose son is going to be one of their biggest threat. Plus, the two brothers on opposite sides (who'll probly team up at some point). PLUS plus, the allegory for the two marginalized citizens (Luke and Tim) with VERY different relationships to the law! Very curious to see how this turns out 😁👌🏿 Also, being a 90s kid I never imagined I'd see a black Batman. I used to draw them and buy the fan art at conventions but its like, actually real. Crazy times we're in lol

Benny Bruce getting shot in the flashback from Dark Detective happened before the events of The Next Batman and everything else. He’s been “dead” for 2 years and everything outside the flashbacks is happening in 2027.

@FoxRNG You basically admitted that he's stale lmaooo. " he gets refreshed all the time he's vastly different every reboot". You know what that means? That means he's stale. You don't reboot characters that are fresh and relevant. You reboot heroes whose stories have been told hundreds of times over which is the case for Bruce Wayne. I for one am glad that we're done with him. It's time for DC to move forward or get left behind.
I'm really enjoying Future State so far. The Justice League and the Green Lantern stories aren't good to me, but the other 20+ stories are pretty great. It's a shame that some people are hating on it for no reason.
@@mOoNsHiNeWiZaRd Now that I've rewatched it, it isn't that bad. I guess the only thing I remembered was the Green Lanterns without rings. It was just kinda iffy to me.
Most of these Future State stories have been fun. I wish some of these stories were on going or DC would keep this style of comics. I feel you get more bang for your buck, though I know I'm probably in the minority. Keep those stories coming! Love how miles was widely accepted as spiderman, a totally new and fresh character; then tim shows up as batman and it's a WHOLE other story. Like give him a chance to prove himself smh.
Probably because DC has a big thing about legacy and successor characters, which is the whole point of the many Robins and Batgirls, especially Dick. To just add a new random character and make them the new version of what is essentially the peak human of DC isnt exactly playing to the fans. Also, Miles is actually a great character and we all love him, but if you remember the rest of Marvel Now, they were not nearly as beloved as best boi.
Im sayin tho, its only been a few issues. Then again, im new to DC so this is my first Batman comic but the story seems pretty dope so far and hes got his own style diff from the movies and cartoons ive seen Batman in
@@greatgoldino None of those legacy characters besides Damian have shown any real interest in becoming Batman. So Tim being Batman is fresh and interesting. He's already sold out two issues so most people would agree with this statement.

Theory: Bruce got ambushed and overwhelmed with no escape by #01 and his team in Early 2025, around 2027 Bruce manage to escape with the help of the bat-family but indirectly. Causing him to search for them and gather resources to fight #01 with his team, to again put a stop to it all. Bruce and Tim Fox might pull a Sam Fisher & Isaac Briggs bait and switch on #01 to put him in custody for overstepping his power.
@@pcpt I agree that Bruce will always, no he is the Batman but he did it for 80 years and Dick, Jason and Azrael we're all Batman's, so why not another? but I would have preferred Luke or Drake, but in two months he's back.

Yes after Donna Troy gave about the universe screwing the titans she dies in the first issue is shown, Wallace and bart were killed in the flash just to make "they" flash, Damian was implied to have died in Robin eternal because let's be real Damian isn't going to let anyone be Batman.

@FoxRNG Hes a more charismatic Batman and doesnt go as far as Bruce but hes never been oppossed to putting the mission first or getting his hands dirty because he does all the time like with the Spyral run or Batman Eternal or any Titans runs.

@@charleslane5133 It's his first year. If Bruce met Nightwing during his first year he would get the same treatment. Nightwing is a veteran who's been crime fighting for more than 10 years at this point. Tim's just starting. Imagine how angry fans would feel if he whooped Nightwing's butt. I already saw some fans complaining that he dropped Grayson while he was vulnerable.(when he was in the shower). That was enough to tick off some fans lol. So the authors have to take both those ideas into consideration.
Equal opportunity is when you give people from all races the opportunity to be whatever they want to be as long as they work harder and is the most qualified for the job. There will always be people who have a problem with that..........with that being said turning batman black is not a issue.turning batman batman black because it's socially cool to do so is not. Why not make a black character superhero and grow and build so that they wont have to live in the shadows of the white characters who build the name for decades. Superhero go viral and decline all the time but that doesn't mean every trending superhero needs to have a black version. It's means we should have more new black character so they can have the opportunity to become just as iconic oneday 🤦🏽♂️

You didn't read the comic so you obviously don't understand that the magistrate took down Batman and all his resources. They are very good at tracking, hence him barely even being able to use a burner phone for less than a minute without getting tracked down.
@@lt2672 but that still doesn't mean that you would have to resort to using a burner phone if he was truly good enough to be Batman he would be able to find a workaround and find an independent Network where he could not only monitor the magistrate but work around them. @@Aames32 If you didn't hear me the first time. they took down the original Batman with all of his tech, so in other words, there's no point in making very expensive tech just for it to eventually get tracked down too. It's better and more practical to use a throw away phone then to fall for the same trap as Bruce.

You do know that just having a new character take up the mantle who happens to be a different race doesn’t make it about racial politics, if you don’t actually include racial politics first, right?
