Interesting , the stock market is currently experiencing a decline while bond yields are on the rise. However, there seems to be skepticism amongst investors regarding the Federal Reserve's plan to continue increasing interest rates until inflation is stabilized. As for myself, I find myself at a crossroads, uncertain whether to liquidate my $250,000 stock portfolio. I'm seeking advice on the best strategy to capitalize on this current bear market.
Great video but little incorrect information related to options, the max loss that you can have is 20k in case of option buying, only in case of option selling the losses are unlimited that too theoretically. Generally, traders have Stop Loss and position hedged.
@@drabhishek4032 Yes, option buyer has to pay to small premium( 8-20k ) but option seller has to provide full amount (1L+) because of this money difference retailer prefer to buy options whereas big institutes sell them
Option sellers are not necessarily less in market, they are always equal, without sellers there won't be buyers. Buying and selling is simultaneous. People with enough money and wanting to limit losses in a relatively stable market go for option selling, they have limited profits but higher probability of keeping it. In general most people hedge as someone else commented. So they also need to sell as part of the strategy.
In case of options. Option holder always have the choice not to buy or sell. If he exersise this choice than the maximum loss will be equal to primium amount. Is that right??

As a beginner who don't understand how bitcoin trade really work and you really want to make profit from it, I will advise you to first start working with a professional broker
My first investment with expert mister Nicholas Barron give me a profit of $13,500 and ever since then he has has the most reliable sincere broker I know
I can't believe I was able to have $30000 worth of Bitcoin in just one month and half of trading with expert Mr Nicholas Barron trading services. Come across some nice comments about him on RU-vid and I give it a shot. I don't believe in Bitcoin before

Quite an honest review, thank you for this! I've been working with SHAW and the team for a while now and believe me when I say their expertise is unparalleled! Kudos to them
Totally wrong explanation! ....If the loss starts to exceed the capital there will be a margin call so it can't get out of control.....Also in option buying risk can't get beyond the premiums.....Also in option selling as well there is an unlimited risk theortically but practically people don't sell naked options so there's a hedging opportunity there to cover your positions and there no. of other spread like the net credit calender spreads flying butterfly etc.........so to say options mein risk hai and stocks mein nai hai is incorrect....ya it's more risky because people normally don't know the dynamics of option & future trading
Thank you for the video, need bit of correction (but I'm happy to be corrected if what's mentioned below is incorrect 🙏) With options, it's always unlimited profit OR limited loss To be clear, if share price drops to 1800, we don't need to exercise, we'll end up loosing our premium of 20k. On the other hand, we'll exercise only if its above 2100. Profit = exercise - premium To make a profit in options, the share price need to go more than premium amount, in this example its 200. As an example, if the price goes to 2200, upon exercising our options, though we'll get 10k, but we paid 20k as premium, hence profit = (10k - 20k) = -10k, so we lost 10k in spite share going up! So break even point is, share price needs to go above (share price +premium), in this example its 2300 (2100+200). As mentioned earlier, if its drops below 2100, you got choice not to exercise hence loss remains & can't be more than 20k. This needs to be corrected in the video 🙏
I think he probably meant to clarify that this can happen when you sell options or write options, and not when you buy them. In selling loss can be unlimited unless you properly hedge your positions, I agree that video will confuse / mislead lot of people towards the last 5- 10 mins, as it was said in context of call option [implying that one is buying a call option]
Correct, even if that stock goes to 0 hypothetically. Your loss is only the margin you paid.i.e, Rs.20k That’s why in OPTIONS trading, the profits are unlimited, the loss is limited.
little time to reach my benchmark of £ 8k for the month, more than half way through now. applauding my decision to boldly take the chance and start trading when I saw an opportunity, great video
In trading you need more than financial literacy, comprehensive insight, expertise/skill are major advancement keys to consistent growth, I trade under a senior trade analyst Sir Benjamin H. Ravies he's a prolific and ensures I generate profits
I continue to remain on the longer-term buy side I will continue to do so, of course, expecting the normal corrections, or shakeouts or fadeouts, but I am more optimistic on trading than ever
Thanks so much for this video, I'm nearly 32 trying to understand the market, I spent about 8 hours just on this video, taking notes and trying to get at least beginners knowledge, and I have to say that out of all the videos I watched, this one helped the most. Thanks again
this is true! she are her team are professional in Fx trading. if you persist you we make it but, not many have the will to keep going because they fail to rise up. they feel they can't make it. but I proved it to you, with Stacy Griffin your investment is safe. all you have to do seat and watch your investment grow
However, it's best advised we should work smart, look out for multiple streams of income and get more involved with online trading. For me, investing Bitcoin/stocks still remains the best
Warren Buffet said it all in one sentence: "Price is what you buy, value is what you get". Don't look at the stock price, but at the business value. If you have no idea of the value you bought, you have no idea at what price you should buy or sell
I have been researching all this while for a digital asset to invest in and I found forex trading to be the most profiting of them all, I'm definitely bouncing on it
he is wrong max loss in option buying is premium you paid and profit is unlimited ,while if you sell option then profit is premium while loss is unlimited
The 30000 loss you mentioned is actually 50000 (20000 (premium) + 30000 (price move)) only and only if the option is exercised, otherwise the actual loss is limited to 20000. That's why it's called as option. Options aren't that scary as this video makes it seem.
I didn't get the 2100 and 2300 example... If he pays 20000 margin and gets 20000 profit... Won't it be a no profit no loss case? How is the profit 100%?
sir please make a video on Zerodha taxation... after inspiration, i have started investing/trading money..i i am loosing so much money now .. due to CDSL, TOTP, and many terms, when we can withdraw money.... please make a video as it is my first job which is new and i have just started investing/trading money.. but cdsl and few other are charging so much money on zerodha
Hey everyone, this is simple but comes with high skill along with risk management and correct position sizing. It is itself a full time job. Don't just open an account with some broker and start trading options.
Sir as you say in the last part of the video that loss is more than 20K for how to buy the Call option but sir who buy the call option his risk is limited, not more than 20K because he paid only a premium amount for this contract and his return is unlimited yes this scenario happen if someone Write the call option not buy because the writer (Seller) has unlimited risk and limited rewards
Hi Ankur…. I do appreciate your videos on financial literacy you have been doing. The session on Future / options was good for laymen in general, but think last part of the statement on loss for Options was not correct, as the loss is limited to Premium paid only 🙏🙏
ya i too had the same understanding... in this example the loss would be 20k rite? hw cm the drop in share price, which is 10k, also taken into account if this is Options ?
I didn't get one thing sir, If I bought Reliance CE @50 (lot size 250), my investment is 12500. If Reliance share is down by 200rs or 300rs then CE value down to zero and my loss is 12500. option value don't go below zero. So how can we lost more money then investment if our trade went bad?
Yes sir , You are correct. In Options buying the maximum loss is our premium paid. not multiple times. But in option selling there will be multiple time loss if our trade goes extremely wrong And why these youtubers are spreading this wrong knowledge I don't know If they (RU-vidrs) Don't know the proper knowledge, then why they are making videos
@@anjb9115 yes margin is required for that minimum 2 lakhs But by making option strategies we can reduced it to 40000 rs By making straddle and strangle
My question is, if I have a option to either buy or leave... Agar 30k ka loss ho rha hy to jo 20k security jama karaya tha I can just let that 20k go... When in option trading only... Not in future
I believe F&O is a great way to earn a bit of side income, the only 2 things required is knowledge and patience. For example, you’ll almost never sustain heavy loss if you put Stop Losses. SL is extremely important when it comes to F&O. Also, always go into F&O with the money you can afford to lose. Always invest money which you’ll not lose your sleep over if things go south. Most importantly, research is key. Know what you’re getting yourself into. As a wise man once said- ek acha trader ye nahi sochta ki profit kaise ho, vo ye sochta hai ki kaise loss na ho.

Hi Ankoor... this is a good very basic video and I liked it. However, the last example of Options is not correct. One can't loose more than what he/she has bought it for. So the max loss will be ₹200*100 even if the share price becomes '0'. The unlimited loss happens only if one has written (sold) the option, but ofcourse seasoned people and professionals use proper adjustments and hedging for that. FnO trading is a different ball game altogether and a vast subject in itself. People use them to earn as a full time profession and also for hedging. Beginners should always stay away from it for atleast 1 year, however must learn and explore them as this is THE ultimate game! Thanks 😄
You never sound like a market expert. You always sound like a common man like us who tries to share his experience. Your words are so genuine. And that makes you special and easily understandable. Thank you for such nice videos.
I have a doubt When the value of the option per share is ₹200 , and the lot size is 100 , invested amount is ₹20000(premium). And if after a certain period of time, if the share price is ₹1800 at the excercise date . Then the option holder has the right to not buy the option at ₹2100 , so the loss is ₹20000( previous premium) Then how the loss is ₹30000. At 18:17 sec Please clarify this doubt anyone This is only a genuine doubt, but not to hurt anyone.
please dont buy options i am in market from 2 years and its my advice that dont buy future and options for instance you can sell options and hedge it by buying other option this is a strategy where your risk and reward are pre defined so no chances of going bankrupt😍😍😍
18:09 reliance me Kahi aag lag gyi , bhagwaan na kare lage is hint that he invested into Reliance. 😂😂😂 Btw very informative video thanks for making it . 🙏🙏🙏🙏
17:40 Sir can you explain how we get profit in this case...... Kyuki agar yaha pe me pehle se 20k option fees de rha hu aur then stock k price increase hone se mujhe profit 20k milega toh at the end toh sab 0 hi ho gaya na
@@aditya_kanu Delivery not available in Option COntract you just get your difference amount at expiry like if you bought @ 20 and premium goes up to 50 your profit is 50-20=30 because 20 you already paid as a premium
sir you have made a mistake in this video in option trading you have the option of not buying the share and letting go off the premium amount you paid so the loss is limited but you said loss is unlimited pls correct your mistake
One of the best explanation on F&O. But you missed the important concept of value of diminishing premium as the date of expiry is reached. One correction- while buying the options, loss cannot be more than the premium, but profit can be unlimited. Whereas, only is case of option writing loss is unlimited.
Just one doubt... If I have set options (call) to buy reliance at 2100/- after one month and I have given 200 per share to lock it....if after one month the share becomes of 2300/- then my profit should be 0 right?...because I gave 200/- per share for a 2100/- share so my investment pershare is 2300/- so if the share becomes 2300/- after one month then my profit is 0. And if the shares becomes 1800/- after then my loss should of 500/- per share right?
*No you are wrong at **16:26**. option buying me sirf jitna premium pay kiye hai utna hi loss hota hai. Risk in Option buying is limited to the premium paid. As per your example, 20k will be the max loss in call option buying. Because rs200 was the premium amount, mutiply by 100 lot size which is 20k. So 20k will be max loss. You also didn't mention the strike price. Because the premium will become zero at expiry if reliance crashes.* *In case of option selling there the max loss in unlimited.* *And in future buying also the max loss is the margin money you have paid. And broker will square off your trade if you loose 80% of your capital in market crash* *Options are useful for hedging, if you know how to do it* *I hope you make a another video about it*
Jo 20000 LGA kr humne lot buy Kiya vo 20000 Hume vapas thodI na mileage Isliye yadi 20000 LGA kr 20000 mil rha hai toh no profit no loss hua na. Yadi 40000 milta toh hum Bolte ki 100 percent profit hai. 20000 original investment +20000 return
Hi Ankur, actually in options you can't lose more than the premium amount + brokerage and taxes. if it falls much below, the option premium value will go 0. If you buy 20,000 of option, you risk 20,000+brokerage and taxes. Not 30,000. Hope that helps
You are absolutely right. The beauty of options are you can minimize the losses unlike future. So if stock price goes below the strike price at expiry, the call option buyer don't have obligations to buy those Stocks and can pay only premium/token amount and goes off.
For options if my loss was 30,000 and I had already invested in margin of 20,000 then maybe I have option to not to buy it and breach the contract and my loss will be 20,000 at max right??
Exactly, there's a slight misinformation in the video. In options buying you only lose the option's premium when market goes against you, not more than that.
I think call option example was wrong. I case share price goes up to 2300 per share, buyer wont earn any profit becoz he bought call option at 2100 per share for 200 premium so effectively 2300 per share. On other side if share price goes down below 2100, he has option not to buy the share so his loss will be the premium he paid which was 20000. So call option has potential for unlimited profit but limited loss.
he is giving wrong info about buying call option,if u buy call or put option the max money that u can lose is the amount u have buyed the call/put option ,it cann't be negative . it can be in negative only when u sell call/put option.
@@yadavdeepak8294 It's only for the Call option.....The maximum loss is the amount you paid as a premium but in the Put option the maximum loss is unlimited😥😥😥
Never found a more lucid explanation. Sir, one aspect was missing. The explanation ended with the only the scenario of us taking delivery of the stocks at expiry. We may also dispose the options to limit our losses in case the movement goes against the expected odds.
You need to be a keen credit manager and expert analyst to trade F&O, there is a risk management theory which caps the risk and leaves the upside open, no disrespect to ankur sir, but learn F&O from an actual trader, you will understand why F&O is only risky when done by an amateur and not a profsnal
it requires lot of focus on moving stock price and with the help of trailing stoploss you can make a good profit. the best way to trade options is banknifty scalping
@@harshilpatel9568 Depends on the mentality of the trader, some use delta hedging for positional others might be good daily option sellers...some might be brilliant directional future traders...Every methods good, but needs experience
Hello Sir, Big Fan of your videos. But in today's video it seems you have not given the correct info. For example: CE bought at 200 will have limited and max loss of 200 only irrespective if the share has dropped by 300 points.
I don’t know whether its a coincidence or what but today i came across this F&O while exploring Zerodha and was wondering what it is and then here i got your video’s notification on my phone!!!
Salute to you and your team for making such a complex topic easily dugestable. Ek number script, and nice editing too. Content and delivery tho poocho nahi
Few things to correct here...you can't lose more than the premium amount paid in options buying. So, in your example if you have paid 20k for buying call option, you can lose only 20k at the max (worst case scenario). This is the basic principle of options buying. However, the option seller (writer) can lose unlimited..

One quick question🙋♂️, agar 20,000 initial investment hai Options mein and after a month or two price jitna bhi drop hota hai to mera nuksaan 20,000 hi hua na because I have an option to Put, how can the loss be more than 20,000?? P.S you explained this very well.
