@@VerrilloTrading I trade futures and place the orders in Tradingview. I don't use the DOM. At 23:14 of the video , the "Partial Close" box was available when trading multiple contracts. I don't see that box in Tradingview. Is thee any other way to get the "Partial Close" box in Tradingview?
Thanks for the great videos. You come across very well. There are some things happening here. Many instructors here never actually carry through on executing a task because they are in a live situation or they don't want the software to launch into this whole other function which they all do. It would be great if more instructors would run through one complete function of how something actually works. Describing and showing how the, "Flatten" command works would be great. Also showing what can mute the flatten button would be a big help here too. Some of this can get very comprehensive. Your doing a great job overall and it is very illuminating.
Literally only wanted to see how you could place an order using the position drawing tool because of the thumbnail but watched the whole thing since it was super informative, glad there's a Tradingview expert like you!

Awesome vid. I decided to go with paying $5 for the CME data. CQG data was delayed and wasn't reflecting the proper pnl of my position. I like that CQG calculates realistic margin unlike tradingview paper trading that only shows your account balance. Using tradingview market data + CQG paper account.
Stellar video highly useful. I have been quite finished it yes, But i'm hoping you will do demonstrations on how you would use the tick tab in the order panel has opposed to just price. I mean how would that be an advantage or alternative over just price.
@27:00 Blew up my prop accounts this way. I'm used to server side orders and was unaware that Ninja has client side orders. I set up mu brackets, turned off my PC and left for the day. Came back to blown accounts.
@@VerrilloTrading Yep. Started getting Tradovate accounts since because it shows the orders on Tradeovate and TradingView if you link it, only the trailing stop doesn't work on TV and only if Ninja is turned off, otherwise it does. Still trying to get to the point i was at.
I haven't used TradeZero but I have a friend that does. He uses them exclusively because they have hard to borrow locates, he trades small caps. IBKR is no good for shorting hard to borrow stocks. They have a locate tool but it's only available to US customers with a portfolio margin account ($100k minimum balance).
I've used tradezero in late 2022 and I've traded for 20 years but the reviews on tradezero being not reliable was right because I had the same issue with it glitching out several times in two weeks and I'm not talking just a few seconds I'm talking minutes. I decided to walk away. Just my two cents. I've used to IB to trade stocks with their free account and never had any issues.

Glad the videos help. You could follow the instructions on Sierra Chart web site for connecting to the Rithmic trading service. You should not use Rithmic data feed on Sierra chart as they removed support for it. They only support trading on Rithmic, and you need to use the Denali data feed. For the second question I would say stick with one platform and really get to know it, then focus on your trading a little bit every day. You say you want to be a scalper but you need to spend the screen time to see if that will work for you, based on your situation, risk tolerance, etc.
Thank you very much for your video. I am confused about the way you manage multi-contract orders. For example, if I order 10 contracts, I want to exit with a profit when the price hits the first 5 contracts and hold my trade until the price hits my target. Thank you
Glad the video helps. There is not one perfect way to do this. For futures, I think the best way would be to work with multiple bracket orders for each position and disable the automatic bracket management features in TradingView. Each position would have it's own associated target and stop orders which are OCO. You could have two position of 5 contracts each, or more positions of smaller amounts.
Here's why, even though this video was mega easy for me, your regular videos are mega hard, but I would like to learn from you regardless, but for that to happen you'd need to explain a whooooole lot of things, as the windows you look at are sooo different from how most of us trade on TradingView. I'm happy to change trading platforms if I was able to learn more about how yo use them. (This is intel in case you ever wanted to do a series on for beginners on your trading setup, your trading style, etc.) Thanks!

If I'm trading breakouts from a range and place a sell limit above and buy limit below, is it possible to fill only the first order and cancel the other? Edit: I would test it myself but it's Sunday 🙄 The documentation says "Bracket orders are automatically cancelled if the position is closed or reversed." I'm wondering whether the "reversed" part refers to trading breakouts with opposing orders.
Yes this is called an OCO order type. I do not know if TradingView supports the OCO as an entry order type. Are you using this as an exit strategy or for entry?
Is it just me but when I paper trade on TV it combines all orders and if I try to take partials with limit orders they do not activate and close the desired amount of units?

Hey Chris, two questions: 1) when I trade with my broker, how come I can't see the TP and SL amounts like I can with a paper trade? 2) When I set a long or short chart position to see my risk, and I pop in say 5 lots, how come it doesn't change the value or risk / profit?
Hello, a few other users did mention they experienced some issues with bracket orders when using IBKR. If it is related to this, this is a problem with TradingView so forward it to them. Regarding the second question, If you are noticing an inconsistency where it works correctly on one account but not on another, this is not something I can see or have any control over.
This video was really helpful thanks. I have the CME data subscription through tradovate and tradingview but the data is still kinda lagging. Is there anything else I can do to help w/ latency?
You can try using a wired internet connection to start. TradingView is not known to have the fastest data. If you need lower latency you would need to use a different data feed/software.
amazing video. but when i am connected to tradestation or tradingview's demo/sim trader, i can't find the option to disable bracket management so i can set multiple take profits. is there a place i can find this option?
Thank you. In the video I was connected to a CQG demo and it is possible that this bracket management feature does not have the same exact controls when being used on their regular demo account. If you do not see it as it has been displayed in the video, this is entirely on TradingView's side. This would be a question to ask TradingView support.
The functionality is probably similar. I would recommend testing in a demo account to determine if there are any particular differences. Maybe one of them cancels existing orders and the other does not.
Why am I not able to drag my TP and SL similar to you? I market execute at the top, I have to manually right click and select my SL and TP. If I hover over my entry I do not see an orange SL to drag.
This might be because you are logged in to a different broker and TradingView has not enabled those features for that broker. You may want to check with them about this.
They have low day trade margins, try sending them an email. For me they are typically about 10% of the full exchange margin. Find exchange margins from CME website and take 10% of that.

Question, why after one week of using the tradingview demo account and also my Tradovate broker in tradingview platform, why does my bracket orders execute at the current price and not at the price limit that I set for? Thanks in advance Sir,
This is something that you would need to check with the broker / trading service. I have heard reports in the past from some users about TradingView having issues with their bracket management with certain brokers.
Hello and Tks for the information. I do have a question: when I’m using my Tradovate’s demo account to trade, when I click the buy or sell button in the upper left hand corner to enter a trade, I do get in the trade. However, when you hover over the bracket that pops on the chat at the entry point, you should be able to see the SL and TP BUTTONS then you should normally be able to just drag them into the desired positions where you want your SL and TP. The problem I’m having is that, THE SL and TP OPTIONS DO NOT SHOW IP TO THE LEFT OF THE BRACKET ENTRY. So with that, issue, I don’t know how to add my SL and TP TO THE ORDER. What do I need to do to be able to see the SL and TP options, when I hover over the entry bracket?
I have heard from some other users that they do not see the bracket order options, this is probably because they are connected to a different trading service. TradingView has not configured their bracket order functionality to work with all trading services.
I noticed it was only there when connected to a futures broker or the demo account I used in the video. I don't know if it shows up in the TradingView demo account.

Hello, as mentioned in either this video or the other one that covered IBKR, you don't necessarily need a TradingView Paid plan in order to Trade. However you do need it in order to get Real-Time Data on TradingView. You can try to connect your broker if you get data with them and see if that will work. All I can say is try to find out. Cheers.
The options might be different depending on the trading service being used. I have heard about various inconsistencies like this from other users as well.
I've noticed that the bracket management features are not available with all brokers. If you see an inconsistency with this compared to what is available in TradingView demo, let them know about it.
I think if you pay it on IBKR you get the data on TradingView when you log in to your IBKR account on TradingView. Let me know if you experience something else regarding that.
