Not only did they *nail* the technology here (not Back-to-the-Future II insanity like with most old predictions, but still ahead of its time), but the aesthetics here also feel extremely close to what’s currently popular right now (bright white everything and the little hints of darker colors)! This is insane!

Jokes aside it's pretty accurate. People in 50s went for the flying cities. They toned it down during 1980s.

In 1994, while working for AT&T, I visited the AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hills, New Jersey and that’s where, for the 1st time, I saw the 1st iPad and iPhone together with a mini show of some of their future applications in Real Estate and in Journalism. It was pretty impressive, so I laughed when the first iPad and iPhone came out for commercial use and Apple claimed to be the original creator. Of course, AT&T Bell Laboratories was sold so many times that somehow Steve Jobs was able to buy this technology and call it his own. Sure, Apple has perfected the technology, but the iPad and iPhone were not Apple’s original creation. In a way, that was a good thing because if it weren’t for Steve Jobs, this technology would have been junked into some basement and forgotten.

Amazing that we've actually exceeded this.
