The small size of this radio does not allow for external heat sinking. There aren't many options, but this tweak doesn't involve any machining or huge budget outlay. All we're doing is adding a path for some internal heat to get out, and I STILL wouldn't recommend running this radio at the full 20 watts for an extensive digital deployment.
If you choose to to this you will have to do some "slicing and dicing" inside the FX4CR carry case to accomodate the heat sinks. If for some reason the sticky stuff on the heat sinks doesn't hold, there is a thermal glue product found on Amazon that may be your solution.
