Trying to tune a FAC FX Dreamline to sub 12 level but i ended up with a surprising Multi Purpose Tune that gets 70 shots at high power and 120 shots at Sub 12
Excellent! Yes, nowadays Air guns are very impressive! I have been using them for years now. It's a world apart if you regulate, as accuracy is just incredible! Mind you, I have very expensive air guns, but incredibly and oddly enough, I just finished a super tuning on a (S200 Air Arms) and this little gem is scary accurate! And in the right hands it becomes an incredible pesting/hunting sniper :-) actually when out on the range, people have been aroused and can't help but to ask questions after seeing the paper targets! Grouping is incredible out to 85 yards... As for FX airguns, the impact, maverick, and dream line products, they are pretty much a work of art.
My friend and I were just discussing using the same FX Dreamline platform if we would be able to get a Sub 12 foot pound gun. Glad you were able to show the way. Tnank you very much.

@@snipersnipe4259 the Dreamline I have is one of the first models , the newer models have a bigger valve opening to allow more air to pass during the cycle of the valve . If I put 2 power plenums on mine it won’t make a difference unless I upgrade the valve , if it’s possible 🤔
Good video, very close to my own tune. I love my dreamline tbh. Pretty cool. I did notice you didn't mention the Extreme spreads of the results. I was wondering more or less what you were getting there. Mine has still a little too high ES in my opinion. I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!
Hi , indeed I didn’t mention it 🤔 . On high power when fresh filled it has 10fps ES when the fill gets to 200bar I am getting about 5 FPS ES . On the low setting the ES is about 8 fps during the whole string with better spots during the string
Sorry buddy that’s ver long time ago and dont own the Dreamline anymore. But if you follow the steps you should ba able to reconstruct it as copy dienst yield alway the same results if you don’t live in the same region or country
Unfortunatley we german Dreamline owners are left with a crippled gun with no adjustable transfer port. We´ve got a fixed low transfer port and our valve pin is modified so it will break if you put too much force on it. 7,5J is a pita to tune.
Thx , no I looked back at the video aswel to see 🫣 but after putting the upgrades I putted the reg at 150bar and then I used the hammerspring and TP dail to get to sub12
@@Airbuks I won’t have the probe and plenum, but your video gave me lots of valuable info to work from. I will be using .22/18gr JSBs so hopefully I should be able to tame it down with port on low and maybe reg less than 150. I will need to get the feel on the FX hammer preload adjustment.
I tried to do the opposite from sub 12 dreamline to the 950 fps capable dreamlines you see in many video's, I got all the parts, power plenum, high flow transfer port / pin probe etc... from huma, but I soon found that the hammer spring is too week to open the valve at higher reg pressures, I checked, my gun does not have the weaker 12 ft/lbs hammer spring, it has the normal one but even at max hammer tune it cant even open the valve at 160bar. I had to stack a LOT of washers behind the spring just to get it to open the valve a little at 145 bar. No idea what is going on.
@@doomfathertm8771 it also might be with testing the med high and low setting to see if it’s correct labeled. I have seen a video where they achieved more velocity on med then high , so I assume there where was in the wrong orientation or incorrect labeled
@@Airbuks Thanks, yeah I already took that off and checked, I think it had a UK 12fpe port as it only had 2 VERY small holes in it, but I have replaced it with the right one with the bigger holes in. Although it was annoying I dropped the small detent ball into a pot of shotgun shot of the exact same size balls lol
Yes I printed it , I do use it when attaching a heavier moderator to it . It helps for the droop and harmonics Even with such a short barrel it makes a difference
Love this dreamline compact, would like to have one in addition to my impact. I see your dreamline compact with a power plenum and 300cc bottle, what I wonder is that the 480cc bottle would fit without the power plenum?
@@Airbuks Thanx! Im trying to find out a "eco-tune" and a "power-tune" with my Dreamline Classic 22 FAC, like you did in this video.. But my rifle does not have a external hammer spring adjuster, have to take off the stock and use a Allenkey😔👍🙏
I like your videos but tunning seems to be unknown area for you. From max to min 682 - 677 fps means your gun is completely out of tune, just waisting air, giving up accuracy. 300cc bottle gives you 118 shots. For comparison my 177cc tube, reg set 112bar, muzzle energy around 11.5fpe give me 160 shots. From min to max - 550 - 810fps. It is .177 of course. Teg made good and short tunning lesson from shooter perspective, giving some basic ideas. Regards, John
Hi , thx for the comment 👍🏻 but are you sure you have watched the hole video ? The purpose of this tune was to make my FAC shoot 18gr at 830 ( 860 max ) and at the same tune by just a few click get a sub12 with 18gr at 540 . If I would restack the regulator you can achieve more efficiency but then you can’t get to the 860 . But I will be sure to check the video 😉👍🏻
The hammer spring pre- tension screw is set too high to make power wheel makes no difference when set Min/Max. Unscrew it and you can utilise power wheel for this purpose and use transfer port LOW. You will be surprised
@@johnairgunner5809 when it’s set to high , the powerwheel does make a difference by 10-15 fps every step on its low setting it doesn’t do anything indeed but that’s not the point of this tune . This tune was very accurate out to 75m with 18gr . But you are right if we speak about a tune focusing on one velocity not trying to achieve a hybrid version. Then I would approach it differently.
