Nice one Mark that MK2 still shoots well to be fair and going back to slugs i think they all seem to do it on the day just not every day but i could be wrong.
In .25 the 35g old design with a thin shirt were better than the new design with thick skirt. I shoot with a lothar walther barrel, velocities 850 to 990 fps.
Hello Surprise about your test because I have better results with the new designe in my FX dynamic in cal .22 but I use 28 grain, and better result in cal .30 in my impact M3 800mm heavy liner. Could you tell me if you have the heavy liner on your impact ?
Not got heavy liner as I only shoot 23g slugs, tried tuning the new design but could not get the accuracy like the old so switched to H&N with fantastic results
@@204mark perhaps normal, because FX says for .22 23grains and more it's better to use heavy liner for slug. It's an information that you have in the liners documentation of FX with the twist of each liner in each size and each caliber
I’ve contacted Zan who said they have improved, sent a photo of my results but they are not interested. I’m so disappointed as it was spot on, if I can’t tune the new design I’ll be going back to FX hybrids or JSB 👍
@@204mark yeh it’s so annoying when you have something that just works, I also contacted zan because like you mine were bang on they were the white boxes and a thin cup base, then I had some in black boxes with thicker skirt and deeper cup base and they were horrendous, zan said there were some issues with the dies and the ones marked new design on the packet were all sorted out. They have been ok but not how I want them. I’m going to re tune and try some heavier weights I’ve always stuck with the 25 and 28
